Inside B there is aninstance of C class. In ActionScript i have the corresponding classA which has a variable myMap but since there is no HashMap inActionScript its type is Object and i also have the correspondingclasses B and C.[RemoteClass(alias="com.test.A")]public class A {public var myMap:Object; // this is the HashMap in Java}[Rem...

Re: When to use AMF and when to use RTMP??
- Adobe LiveCycle 10-07-2007
Be sure that the port configured for each RTMP channel isunique for the entire server to avoid collisions. It's not uncommon forpeople to deploy two flex.war files on a server and forget that they'veused the same port in both applications.

Re: FDS+Spring+Hibernate - Adobe LiveCycle 14-08-2007
The posts here that point to examples of Spring + FDS andseparate examples of Hibernate + FDS and then say combining the twoshould be easy seem to be missing the point. This is not as easy anstraight forward as it seems it should be. Spring + Hibernate + FDS is a completely different animalbecause you are getting Spring to handle the Session Factoryconfiguration and your DAO's as Spring beans but you also want thehandling of lazy initialization and proxy serialization as shown inthe HibernateAss...

Re: Using an Object as the identity property for a destination - Adobe LiveCycle 17-01-2007
I noticed in your solution number 1 that you extend fromObject, why is that?Do all AS classes that are used for RemoteClass purposes needto extend from Object? Also i wanted to ask about the toString() method you mention, you mean to override it right? You mentioned you were writing up a bug for this issue, wasit solved on Flex 2.0.1? which bug number is it? Thanks again

Using DataServices and Assemblers with Strings - Adobe LiveCycle 29-11-2006
I have a Java Assembler which obtains a list of strings, onFlex it throws a run-time error saying that i am not using theIManaged interface. When you use custom AS classes you use the [Managed] metadataand that solves it but like i said, i am not using custom objects iam using Strings. So is it possible to make this work? what do i need to do? iwouldn't like to have to create a custom object with a Stringproperty to make this work, so if anyone has any ideas please letme know
