Re: Can you set up drop down menus with multiple line capability? - Adobe LiveCycle 03-02-2012
Hmm, you used to be able to attach forms on a discussion but it looks like that option is now gone. I'll have to send it to you since the publish and link process is a mystery to me. Thanks for your help.

Re: Can you set up drop down menus with multiple line capability? - Adobe LiveCycle 31-01-2012
Good Afternoon Niall,You must work at Assure Dynamics if my memory serves me correctly given your Labrador avatar Koji. Unfortunately I believe the bound value is currently being used to calcuate some scores further down in the document based upon the number in the drop down box so I do not think it would work. Could we duplicate the drop down results in another item we could bind to the text field? Would you consider looking at my form to see if this is true? I could post the form here or send ...

Re: Can you set up drop down menus with multiple line capability? - Adobe LiveCycle 30-01-2012
Thanks for the quick reply Niall! I wish it could support multiple lines. So you seem very knowledgable and I was thinking of a work around. Is it possible to use an "if then" statement in JavaScript in a form to look at one box and if it shows a value then put in one of five options in a text box or some other form part? Just trying to get around the size limitation.

Can you set up drop down menus with multiple line capability? - Adobe LiveCycle 30-01-2012
I am putting together a performance review tool and instead of just a rating to pull down the team wants the rating and a sentence or two to populated. When I try to put in a longer statement adding it to the list it get cut off or stops after so many characters. Is there a way to make it work so it shows allthetext regardless of length? Thois is a dynamic PDF form create in LiveCycle.

A "Save As" button that inserts values from fields in a form - Adobe LiveCycle 18-11-2011
I know I have seen this in the discussion threads but can no longer find it. I want to add on to my "Save As" button to have it choose two field values to automatically generate a name for the file to be saved. Specifically using the name and date a person enters on the form.

In this case I want users to onlybe able to enter integers from 0 to 110?I saw some instructions regarding pulling up a numeric field properties box but i do not know how to do that first protion.

Re: Performing Math Calculations on A Form - Adobe LiveCycle 19-02-2010
Thanks Paul, as usual your sagely advice has worked. Can you recommend any resources that show you how to write formulas and calculations in both JavaScript and FormCalc?

Performing Math Calculations on A Form - Adobe LiveCycle 12-02-2010
I have a performance review form I want to do some basic math and have no idea where to start. I looked in the help section for FormCalc and can't make heads or tails out of it. Does anyone know where I can watch, download or read some resource to understand how I could get the form to multiply two different numeric fields to get a number.Do you make reference to the object somehow in formcalc to say multiple this field by that field. I can do it in Excel in a snap but the new language is throwi...
