Re: How can I use more than 2 dependent dropdown lists - Adobe LiveCycle 10-06-2015
Hi JBrill1970,I have had a look at your document but have not gone through your script. I have adapted your information to the script I use. Unfortunately the links above have broken due to Adobe changing the way they do things.I created three drop-down lists:Country - adding the list of countries to the List itemsState - adding a placeholder "Select a State" to the List Items which will be populated once a Country is selectedCounty - adding a placeholder "Select a County" to the List items whic...

TRIM, LiveCycle and PDF forms - Adobe LiveCycle 02-04-2014
Hi,I am using LiveCycle Designer ES3 to produce a form to which I then applied reader extensions through Adobe Acrobat Pro XI. The users of the form have been using Adobe Reader 9 to fill out and save the form. The form is loaded into TRIM (a records management system. See http://www8.hp.com/au/en/software-solutions/software.html?compURI=1173707) and via a TRIM workflow various users fill it out as required. This was working okay in TRIM until a recent network changeover and this is where the ex...

Re: Adding text field to e-mail subject - Adobe LiveCycle 09-01-2014
Thanks for this script. Found it very useful. I would like to point out that there is a typo in the second line of the script. It has an extra full stop before the execEvent("click) which needs removing.Greig

Text field in table not overflowing onto next page! - Adobe LiveCycle 01-09-2013
Hi,I have set up a table with a text field in the first row, added buttons to add and delete rows, set to allow page breaks and made the text field to expand to fit and allow multiple lines. The problem I am having is that if I put a lot of text into the text field it will not expand on to the next page so not all of the text is visible. If I just set up a 1 row table the expansion works as I would expect and takes up as many pages as needed. Somewhere along the line the add, remove buttons or t...

Re: Right-justify a field - Adobe LiveCycle 28-08-2013
Hi,I have been trying to do something similar and with the help of Niall's wonderful resources, in particular "Expanding textfields maintaining horizontal position" - http://www.assuredynamics.com/index.php/portfolio/expanding-textfields-maintaining-horizontal-position/ - I managed to work something out. However it only works in quirky way and I can't figure out why. Basically I have a text field that expands or contracts according to how long the entry is. I have set the text field to "Expand t...

Re: Repeating Subforms within Tables and Subforms - Adobe LiveCycle 26-08-2013
I have just been playing around with tables for a project I am currently working on and may have an idea that might work for your last problem of the orphaned header row at the bottom of the page that has no rows attached. Try making two header rows, even if they contain the same information, and, in the Pagination tab, set the first one as "Include Header Row in Initial Page" and set the second one to "Include Header Row in Subsequent Pages".You may also find the post http://forums.adobe.com/me...

Re: Help With A Repeating "Row" - Adobe LiveCycle 21-05-2013
There seems to be two separate issues here. The first is making a blank row above rather than below. Do you mean that the blank row should be the first row always when you add a new row or appear just above the existing bottom row? Anyhow, my thoughts on this are that the new row would always come last so you would then copy the contents of the previous row down 1 for each. Some sort of reiteration that will leave the first row blank thus giving the impression of a blank row being added at the t...

Re: How can I use more than 2 dependent dropdown lists - Adobe LiveCycle 16-05-2013
Hi,I used the script from http://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/js_list_combo_livecycle1 to create a two dependent drop-downs and then was able to extend this to three dependent drop-down lists. I have put an example up at https://workspaces.acrobat.com/?d=Ph1ZsLxdyeZk9dq9qovNeQ Hope this helps,Greig

Re: How do I save a PDF as dynamic? - Adobe LiveCycle 15-05-2013
Hi,I just had this exact same problem. I went into File > Form Properties > Defaults and changed the Target Version at the top of defaults to a later version. In my case I changed it from Acrobat and Adobe Reader 6.0.2 or later to Acrobat and Adobe Reader 9 or later and then went to Save As to find the dynamic option was now available.Hope this helps,Greig
