I have a client who can not insert photos taken with his Samsung phone
into a livecycle form open in Reader on his MAC computer. His process is
to transfer the photos to his MAC then insert them into the form. The
form works perfectly other than that. Peculiar thing is that when he
takes photos while using Palm Tech Inspection Software and then
transfers those photos from his phone to his MAC they insert perfectly
into the form. Taking all photos through the Palm Tech Software is not
an option f...
I believe I have spotted the potential culprit. Comparing my forms that
are working to the one giving us trouble this symbol is the only one not
listed as Encoding: Ansi. Plus BR001 mentioned that some "symbols" have
been giving trouble. My question now is how do I find it in the form and
change it. I have virtually no HTML or xml training. Looking at source
code - Is there a way to search for it and then how do I go about
changing it to something that works without messing up the whole
document...
I can not provide a screen shot because it is not happening to me just
some of my users. I know you are correct about the cause but I was
wondering if it is possible to correct/modify the form such that it does
not require the download of a different font package.
I have three livecycle forms that I have multiple end users utilizing.
One of those form requires the downloading of a foreign or Asian font
package to Acrobat Reader for some but not all users. The other two
forms work fine for all users. What is different about the one form and
how can I correct it so this does not happen? I would imagine it might
have something to do with the fonts embedded in the Livecycle document.
You mentioning the "click event" tipped me off to look for and find it.
I was messing with trying to add (copy and paste) an additional "Add
Photo Page" button and did not know how to set it up. When I figured it
out I found ann extra event that was causing one click to create both
events. Deleted one and it solved my problem. Thanks for the tip... it
saved the day! Obviously I am new at this stuff.
I found that if I go into form properties>PDF Security and set up as
shown in the screen shot below the user can fill, sign, save and print
in Reader DC and Acrobat DC but it can not opened in Livecycle to edit
or steal my work without my password. It is my understanding though that
there is third party software out there that can get around it. I wish
Adobe would come up with a security system that is harder to hack.
I was editing a form in Livecycle and in the process I must have changed
something that now causes the add page button to add two pages at a time
rather than one. Can anyone help me? I do not have any xml experience.
I would like to password protect form from being edited in livecycle by
other designers and still allow client to use all the dynamic and
interactive functions of the form without a password. In other words I
want to prevent people from stealing my stuff. Can you help me?
