In AEM 6.1, you also get the Cold standby option with TarMK. If you are looking for high performance with a standby failover option then you can go with coldstanby with TarMK.

I dont think there are any integration done between AEM and backbase.One need to do a feasibility study and depends on how Backbase exposes its services for personalization. You can raise a ticket for the same and see if Adobe has anything for this.

Assuming you are asking for tree activation for details look [1]. Basically iterates through all the nodes, adopt to page & assets to get lastmodified date and also get replicationstatus. [1] /libs/cq/replication/components/treeactivation/POST.jsp

As per my understanding, to use Adobe Campaign we need to integrate it with AEM for AEM based application. But we have scenario where we need to know if we can directly integrate Adobe Campaign with 3rd party framework (Backbase) without AEM. Please let me know if it is possible?
