Is there a way to make a Button cell print a single line for the border without printing the text, and still make it look like a button on the screen? By still looking like a button, I am looking for a raised border and grey background. Basically I want to set attrinutes for printing different than the display.screen attributes. I am sure this could be done with code, but was hoping for something cleaner.Karl

Hello,I have a Livecycle document that will ultimately be comprised of 2 Forms. The final appearance of the forms needs to match a client's form, we are trying to move from filing these in by hand. The second form contains data that is repeated fro the first. If I collect the data correctly in the first form, I can fully automate the second form.Below is the proposed table for the first form. The data consists of work accomplished by various contractors on a construction site, and could include ...

I have a form with nested tables that I want to flow down a page. the form is here: https://acrobat.com/#d=PzZppJnMQxf2GcbPYKvArQ Currently Table2 nests to the right, and not down the page. Any idea as to what I need to do to get the table to flow down the page and not across?Karl

Perfect! Thank you. Niall. I also found the Shift property helpful since the commitKey property did not return the correct direction. I made the following code, changing the end to go to the correct locations based on where the user is. In some cases it would go to either direction// Declare some variables var i = this.parent.index;var i2 = xfa.event.commitKey;var testResult = 0;// Determine how the user exited the fieldswitch (i2){ case 0: //value is not set, such as an escape key, so do nothin...

Thank you, Niall. Much appreciated! The Delete button was more to make sure one could delete these outside a button in the actual row and I see I had the index wrong such that I was deleting the second row and not the first. I had toyed with using this as a hidden button if I could pass the index to the event's function.I had not thought of adding the reference to each row as a variable. It seems to work very well. For future reference to others, here is the code from the cellRemoveButton click ev...

Hi,If you set the Display Pattern to time{h:MM A}, then entering 15 will give you 3:00 PM.I don't think you will be able to get a single digit (eg 9) to be recognised as a valid time. Niall

Hi, That shouldn't matter, provided the hierarchy structure is the same, eg the same number of parents to get to the repeating object. Also in your script the removeInstance parameter being expressed as "this.parent.index" wouldn't work, as the function does not know what "this" is. In my version it might need nother .parent, depending on your structure. Niall

Hi,I think that you will need to loop through the objects in the row to test if they contain data or not. var oNodes = this.parent.nodes; var nCheck = 0; for (var i=0; i

Thank you.I was able to take your script and modify it for my needs, and make the first scenario work. There are a few tricky "if" statements for when a line is deleted from the table to keep the Total column clean, but it works nicely. I appreciate the sample to get me where I needed.Note to future readers that I have to edit the XML source to remove a bunch of line breaks. The Add Line didn't work as a result, but I set a minimum number of rows to 20 and was able to play around all I needed.Re...

Is there a way to save a default path for where an Image Field first looks for an image? It can be relative to the saved path, if this makes it easier for setting. Preferably at the same level, though, but we can work with a limitation if need be. So on a Windows machine we would have 2 folders:c:\PDF_filesc:\PhotosThe PDF will be in the first, the images in the second. How can I have the form look in the second location by default?Regards,Karl S

I'd just add that if you want to use an iPad, the best bet is to create an acroform and use Readdle's PDF Expert, which has the best PDF form support that I've seen on iOS. Adobe Reader on iOS has no support whatsoever! PDF Expert also has limited support for JavaScript, which is very helpful, and they're adding more all the time. I don't have an Android device, so I don't know what the best PDF viewer for forms is.

Hello,I have need to create a table which cover half of a page width and has 3 total columns, but an undetermined number of lines. Additionally, I would like the table to continue next to itself, as if in a second newspaper column, with the number of rows in each being equal. So if the entire table below represents the page, the two large blank areas would be some context, and the rest representst the table itself. HEADER1 and HEADER 1 (repeated) would be the same part of the table with the (rep...

Glad the solution worked. As for the problem, I agree it makes no sense--you are preaching to the choir. I can come up with no reason why they would provide the ability to type in an email address when the saved identity will override it (without notification of any kind). On the email entry screen, they could at least specify that a saved identity will override anything entered. It took some time to troubleshoot when we had the problem; the solution we identified worked but at a significant was...

To make this a little more complete, since I had a hard time finding it, the Layout tab can be found by selecting an object and then selecting the Pallet Menu that appears in the bottom right corner of the information surrounding the object in design View. Layout is found under Pallets.Thank you, Niall, for the response. It got me exactly what I needed.Karl
