Re: How Do I: Fill a read-only field based on selections from 2 DDlists?

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. The only changes I had to make was to add a double "==" in the scripting for the selections from the 2 DDlists.(Using a single "=" would cause things to not work properly.)if ((firstDDList.rawValue=="Whatever") && (secondDDList.rawValue=="Whatever"))yourTextBox.rawValue="the right text"

Another solution was to put "if([DENOMINATOR]>0)then[FORMULA]endif", in place of your formula alone.

Never mind -- I discovered that the white box frame disappears as soon as focus is moved to another object on the page. So just the inside of the button stays white (with the black center).

You created syntax errors in the script therefore it would not run. If you have many doctors then a woudl recommend using a different coding technique - a Switch statement). This makes the coding much easier to understand - this is not to say you cannot use if staement but it can get prettty convuluted. The modifed sample shows how to do it using both techniques. Have a look and decide which one works best for you.Paul

Yhou have the correct command but Acrobat/Reader has been changed in version 8 to stop the program from getting an image dynamically (for security reasons). You can get a new image through a data connection (Web Service or embedded in data).

Re: Drop down list values
Avatar

The only way to accomplish that is to clear out all values and set the dropdown again with your abbreviations. When the user accesses the list again they woudl only see abbreviations. Another way woudl be to have a matching list with abbreviations in it hidden. When the user makes there selection on the original list you could hide the original list and make the hidden list visible. This woudl only work on the exit event of the original list.

what happening now is this.when i enter a user id in the first row, it populates fine. then i add an instance to my table, and a second row comes up. When i enter a user ID into the second row, it updates the user information in both the first and the second rows, not just the second row....

Acrobat/Reader only supports app.alert and app.response. Look in the Acrobat Javascript reference for docs on how to use these commands.

Hi,If you are debugging your Flex application and have a breakpoint in the fault event handler, then you can try checking out theevent.target and then check out the properties of the event.target.Hope this helps.

Kacyndra, How are you getting the data out of ColdFusion? Are youusing a Web Service or Remote Object to call the .cfc? Both waysaccept arguments to another function in the .cfc that will do theUpdate or Insert SQL.Scott
