It's a rights issue. Licensing needs to be purchased and/or software distributed or updated. See the reply by "leesutton" above for more information.

Great trick. I'm TRYING not to push my luck with the goodwill of the fine folks here. I have a reset button on this form that clears out the fields when it is clicked. The code for the reset button is:________________________________form1.Page2.Subform-Page2-info.ResetButton1::click - (JavaScript, client)xfa.host.resetData();________________________________When I click the Reset button, the WOresolution14 DD list still does the following:a) retains the last fill colour (e.g. in some cases, red)b) retains the ...

This does the majority of what we're looking for, thanks! However, there are some minor things I need help in cleaning up.Here's what happens:1. In DDlist "Priority" : select item "Critical"2. In DDlist "WOresolution" : 5 corresponding items appear.3. In DDlist "WOresolution" : select item "More than 2 hrs"4. In DDlist "WOresolution" : As per my coding, background colour turns red and font is bolded.5. In DDlist "Priority" : select any other item (e.g., "Urgent")6. In DDlist "WOresolution" : back...

Hi Paul,This is the sort of thing I am looking for. Ideally I see the rows getting populated by an event other than the DocReady event. Perhaps an event triggered by the selection of "basic access" or "custom access" from the ddlist? May we continue to polish this to a final version? Please forgive that I am still a novice user and am still learning about scripting, etc. as I go along and get help from people such as yourself.I will need some "hand holding" to copy this over to my own PDF form an...

Yes, it is absolutley along the lines of what I was thinking of. Some interesting things... if I am in "custom access" and delete all but one row... then select "basic access" again... the default table rows values do not all re-appear again. Also, when I go to delete all rows, an error message appears.

Very close. However, when I copy/paste the stuff from your sample.pdf file into my own PDF file... nothing works anymore.I have tried renaming pages, subforms, and scripts to make it match the elements in your sample... but I never get it right. This is likely a very basic thing, but I still haven't gotten the hang of it yet.

Again a question coming from a relatively novice user of LiveCycle ES.I need to create a table, where the table appears or disappears depending on the selection of some radiobuttons. When the table is visible, there are some dropdown lists that are used to add information to the table.New table rows can be added by selecting information from 2 ddlists and clicking an "Add" button. Each row of the table can be deleted at any time. Here's what I envision:a) In an area of the form, there are radiobutt...

Okay, here's a little twist I would like to make to improve functionality of the "FirstNameOnBadge" field. If the rawdata entered into the "FirstName" field is 25 characters or less, the rawdata would go into the "FirstNameOnBadge" field as-is and the "FirstNameOnBadge" field would be read-only.However, if the rawdata entered into the "FirstName" field is more than 25 characters, the rawdata would go into the "FirstNameOnBadge" field and would be truncated to 25 characters... AND the "FirstNameOn...

I am seeking help to duplicate rawdata from one field into another field. Here is what I am looking to do:1. There is a field named "FirstName" on my form, and another field named "FirstNameOnBadge" on the same form.2. "FirstName" field has unlimited characters size; "FirstNameOnBadge" field is limited to 25 characters.3. When I enter rawdata into the "FirstName" field, the first 25 characters of that rawdata should then appear in the "FirstNameOnBadge" field.4. I should be able to edit the rawda...

Our institute is looking at deploying LiveCycle and use it for form creation and workflow managment. There are forms that will require approval/sign-off from multiple users at different stages of processing.Currently, on our "non-workflowed" eForms we have an eSig field that a user must click on to put his/her digital certifcate there. The person's digital certificate is taken from a hardware token that is plugged into the computer. So here's what we see happening for a LiveCycle "workflowed" eForm...

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. The only changes I had to make was to add a double "==" in the scripting for the selections from the 2 DDlists.(Using a single "=" would cause things to not work properly.)if ((firstDDList.rawValue=="Whatever") && (secondDDList.rawValue=="Whatever"))yourTextBox.rawValue="the right text"

Thank you for your response.I am a novice at learning code at this point, but yes I did look at it.The issue still remains that the rawtext is triggered by the selection from the second SubDepartment DDlist only... not based on the combination of both DDlists.

I tried that but a few things went wrong.1. After I select "Food Service" in the second "SubDepartment" DDlist, a Javascript error message pops up (see attached), and I have to click it to make it go away. Then the text "Contract Food Serv" appears in the text box.2. If I select a different value in the Department DDlist, the rawtext still remains in place... it should clear out.3. The raw text seems to be based on the selection of the SubDepartment DDlist only. However, I need specific raw text...

I have attached a mock-up of the file with the 2 DDlists shown.I populated the first DDlist (Occupation) with some items... but didn't populate the second DDlist (Title) with anything b/c the contents will change depending on the selection in the first DDlist.

Thanks for your reply, Paul.At this time, the items would be hardcoded into each DDlist.(We are not pulling any information for a field from a database or anything like that.)

Hi Lee,Thank you for your quick response. Regarding licensing, do we need a separate license for each installation of LiveCycle Designer (i.e., for each person who creates the barcode forms)? If you would let us know exactly what we need to order/install, that would be greatly appreciated!
