So if I create in LCD, will the Server make it accessible to assistive technology? Screen readers etc?

Hi, I am new to this forum, cant find where to ask a question. To make a PDF accessible for assistive technology, do you use designer or server or both?I am told you also need acrobat to fix tags? Can anyone clarify?

I have been making Accessible Forms with Acrobat for a few years. I am fairly new to LCD.I have a PDF form designed in LCD ES4. I applied roles to the lists and headings, associated table headers and cells, added tooltips or custom text etc.For generating Accessible Tags, I used the Form Properties Save Option.I know you cant edit LCD forms with Acrobat, or use the touch up reading order tool etc. When I look at the properties in Acrobat it says the PDF is NOT tagged.Read Out Loud just says Warni...

I have been on this forum for months, asked 4 or 5 questions, no replies at all.though my research I have found that LiveCycle fails in many areas.Adobe has acrobat that cant make expanding fields and LCD forms are alien to Acrobat. Is Adobe just trying to sell product, regardless of how inept it is?There are other software that make accessible pdf's aside from Adobe. I will convince my clients to steer clear of Adobe.Adobe is as horrible as Microsoft products.'thoroughly annoyed with Adobe'Murr7...

Hi Niall O'Donovan, I have been looking for Livecycle answers, cant get any from the livecycle forum. You seem to know a lot.I am making an Accessible Form in LC, if you are familiar with WCAG 2.0, I want to know if expandable fields are considered accessible. Also, as you know, once a form is designed in LC, it can't be edited in Acro. As well with any WCAG tester I have tried, they fail all LC pdf's.Do you know of a tool that will check a LC form for wcag 2.0 compliance?ThanksMurr

USE Acrobat XI.I suggest you first translate the text in Word etc, then make the PDF.This might be helpful.https://translate.google.com/
