There is no reason that you cannot use templates and fragments in combination. Templates can be used to speed up design of forms which contain common combination of fragments and artwork, e.g. a particular letterhead, or forms that have differing master pages. In your example, the positioning (where) of the objects (i.e. fragments) would be handled by the template, but what those positioned objects are could be handled by the fragments. Note that forms based on templates do not update when the t...

Hello all,This is great advice and I am thinking I could use this on one of my forms, the only question I would need to know an answer to is if this script could work on a drop down with multiple options that may need to be selected more than once. So the scenario goes we've got 6 activities that our stakeholder can choose from and a table would populate for them to fill in the details i.e. date; $rate etc however we need the end user to be able to duplicate the one activity they've chosen if th...

Hi,Here is an amended sample. I don't think it is possible to do what you want, if I understand your requirement correctly. There is a FormCalc function called Wordnum(), which will change a number into an english text string. There is a sample of this in the form, where you put in a rate in the left hand field (number) and the rate appears in text in the right hand field. However I do not know how to get the total calculation to deal with a text string. The only other (messy) option is to use a d...

JennahI'm not sure I fully understand your question. Are you looking to add signatures in an automated fasion in an ad hoc fasion, or did you want to design the forms with signature fields already on the PDF form?Assuming you are using LiveCycle Designer to create the forms, you can ad signature field(s) to the form when you create the forms. When a user clicks on the signature field, they will be prompted to select a digital certificate to sign the form with. Note that if the end users only hav...

The distribute and track functionality is part of Acrobat.com ....there may ne something there. Also check the Acrobat documentation there shodul be something there as well. If you do not use the distribute functionality, you can add the form as an attachmnet ot an email (by hand) and when the user opens the form and fills it then hits the submit, it will be mailed to the name mentioned in the submit button.Paul

Yeah, it's just a local preference setting. You either have to set it by script or do the preference setting on each copy of Acrobat.

Hello, I am trying to write am IF/THEN formula within livecycle that allows the sum of two fields to remain zero if left empty and not exceed 0.60. The current formula I'm using looks like this:if((CommunityService+participatioin)>0.60)then total(CommunityService+participatioin)=0.60Any help/guidance you can provide will be helpful!Thank you, Lindsay

You could put a tooltip on the box that says something like: "Choose all options that apply". This will appear when the user hovers over the field,Is that acceptable?Paul
