Re: Making a selection visible when picking from a dropdown - Adobe LiveCycle 14-10-2014
Hello all,This is great advice and I am thinking I could use this on one of my forms, the only question I would need to know an answer to is if this script could work on a drop down with multiple options that may need to be selected more than once. So the scenario goes we've got 6 activities that our stakeholder can choose from and a table would populate for them to fill in the details i.e. date; $rate etc however we need the end user to be able to duplicate the one activity they've chosen if th...

Re: Templates vs Fragments - Adobe LiveCycle 28-05-2014
Hello SI_MSD7,Thank you for replying. It makes a lot of sense. We are only going to create fragments for those components that will be used multiple times for the simple fact of updating globally. The reason I was thinking we should probably use a template is so that the fragments that will be across the board standard i.e. logo's header footer etc they will be in position on that document whereas using a fragment each time you want to create a new document may see the positioning change and ther...

Templates vs Fragments - Adobe LiveCycle 25-05-2014
Hello,We are currently in the process of converting all of our manual forms/documents into live interactive forms using LiveCycle designer however the question has been raised "How can we create components that are going to be the same across all documents and copied and pasted?" I suggested fragments however the debate is whether it would be best to use a 'template' that perhaps we've designed and use it for each form? I understand that Livecycle have inbuilt templates but we won't be using tho...

Re: How to create a dynamic button? - Adobe LiveCycle 06-09-2010
Hi Niall,Thanks again for your help. That has helped a little. My next drama is that i cannot figure out at all is to get it to follow onto the next page instead of immediately after the section i want to repeat. Everytime i change the Pagination settings i loose my content on that page that has the section on it. I don't know how to change those settings to make it work. Any clues???I am so close in getting it right that it's frustrating not being able to find the right setting. The scripting w...

Re: How to create a dynamic button? - Adobe LiveCycle 05-09-2010

Am i supposed to script it using java script or something like that?I would like to know exactly how to add a row to a table with a button or add a repeated subform with using a button. Thanks again.

How to create a dynamic button? - Adobe LiveCycle 01-09-2010
Hi,I'm trying to find some information on how to create a button that can be used in a dynamic form within a flowable subform to duplicate that subfom if they need to add more information in that same format.I've been able to find information on flowable forms and static vs dynamic as well as the concept behind the button but i can't seem to find anywhere instructions on how to actually do it. What scripts to put in in order to get the outcome i'm trying to achieve, all i can find is stuff on th...

Calculating a field that needs to be text - Adobe LiveCycle 25-11-2009
Hi,I am wondering if anyone knows of a way to add a text field into a calculation?I have a column of fields that need to state a rate per hour but that field needs to be included into an amount column that calculates teaching hrs x rate per hour. How do i get to have the rate per hour field as a text field and included into the calculation?Or if there is another object i can choose to allow me to do what i need to.ThanksJennah
