Re: Programmatically Click a Checkbox - Adobe LiveCycle 18-06-2018
Never mind, solved in record time...sometimes reading the help works CheckBox1.execEvent("change");this did the trick, it didn't check the box too, but the code in the change event executed which is what i wanted.

Re: Prepopulate a field based on the value of two dropdown list - Adobe LiveCycle 17-06-2018
Glad to assist. I usually use Javascript but when you use it to create variables with a sum, it will concatenate rather than add. Formcalc treats it as a calculation.Eg:if ddl1 is 2 and ddl2 is 3.var calc = ddl1 + ddl2 //in formcalc the variable will be 5 (2+3)var calc = ddl1 + ddl2; //in javascript this will be a concatenated string and the variable will be 23 (2 concatenated to 3 = 23)Oddly, if you were to multiply in javascript you get the calculated answer in the variable. *rolls eyes*

Re: How do I add rows to a table based on the amount entered in another field? - Adobe LiveCycle 14-06-2018
Thats awesome Magus069 for creating a easy resizing table. You can also use it in the exit event of a combo to 'restrict' how many rows can be in the table.I saved that to my code archive.

Re: character duplicated and previous one removed. - Adobe LiveCycle 13-06-2018
Not sure if this could be the reason, but you might want to make sure that your fields are Plain Text Only instead of Rich Text under Field Format.

Re: I am having so much trouble building a form with tables where new, matching tables can be added and keeping the formating correct and looking nice when it goes on to the next page. How can I get help with this? - Adobe LiveCycle 05-06-2018
In what way is it not looking right? Does the whole table not move to the next page?If you make sure this is turned off, the whole repeated object will move to the next page. Also, I dont think you can repeat a table, but can repeat a table wrapped in a subform (subform repeats) and a table row.

Re: Automatically / Dynamically jump to next page? - Adobe LiveCycle 05-06-2018
Are you developing a LiveCycle Designer PDF form? There is no HTML in such a form.

Re: I click add page button once and it adds two pages - Adobe LiveCycle 28-05-2018
No problem. It is satisfying to sort your own problem. I always learn from itwhen it happens to me.

Re: Prevent editing form but still allow filling of form - Adobe LiveCycle 27-05-2018
I found that if I go into form properties>PDF Security and set up as shown in the screen shot below the user can fill, sign, save and print in Reader DC and Acrobat DC but it can not opened in Livecycle to edit or steal my work without my password. It is my understanding though that there is third party software out there that can get around it. I wish Adobe would come up with a security system that is harder to hack.

Re: Form with validation button - Adobe LiveCycle 12-09-2018
Hi,Further to all this work, I am now being asked if it is possible on one of the forms that if a certain text field is populated (MRN) that it would 'disable' the 'required' option on other text fields. Is this something that I can do on the form itself that wouldn't mess up all the other code I (Bruce) has inserted to make only the visible form have their fields required?
