I'm trying to create a document using text for the Czech republic.I only need "dead" text to be in the Czech language, so am using text objects. Every time I try to paste the Czech words in (via notepad to clear any background Java), LiveCycle crashes with a C++ runtime error.Any help or advice appreciated...!

Is it possible to create an exclusion group using check boxes instead of radio buttons?I need to provide boxes on a form which can be filled (for example) Yes or No, but also need to be able to return the field to null in case it has been clicked inadvertently. (so for example if "yes" is selected, clicking on "yes" again sets that field to null without switching on the "no" field). While I can achieve this using the action builder, each check box has a separate field name in the database, and I ...

I need to exert some control over fragment usage and adjustment. I understand that you cannot "lock" fragments from editing (by other LC designer users), so to counterract this I'm looking at the possibility of inserting a control (hidden) field within a fragment, containing information such as the fragment version number (manually applied) and date/time "stamp" of save (this could be either manual or automatic). Then, when the fragment is used in a document, IF (and only IF) the fragment is edi...

Is it possible to format a date field in LiveCycle Designer so that a partial date can be entered if the full date is not known? For example, if we want to know when a person bought their first car, they may know the precise date, the month and year, or just the year, so we would want to allow the date field to contain 05/MAR/1984 or xx/JAN/1999 or xx/xxx/2004 etc.Any help greatly appreciated!Thank you...Horrorhound.

Is there a way of locking fragments so that a developer can use the fragment in a form, but not edit it's content? So for example, if I have a fragment that contains six fields, some of which may have javascript behind them for visibility, can a developer use that fragment as it is, with no ability to update it's content? Many thanks...Horrorhound.

Hi,Sorry, I guess that was a little confusing - basically what I need to be able to do is display / print / use the document without the blue annotations when I want to, but also create a copy WITH those blue annotations on.They are mostly field names, but as you have noticed, some other information also.Ideally I'd like to just add extra text fields, and switch their visibility on and off as a whole, rather than as individual fields (for example, in Framemaker you can choose to display by colou...

Hi,Thanks so much for your reply. What I really need for the first question is to be able to print a copy of the form with the field names visible on it. I have attached an example here, which may help to explain it better.Thank you very much...Polly.

Hi,Question 1.I am using LiveCycle Forms Designer to create forms for use as both paper copy and electronic forms. I need to produce for the FDA a form that is annotated with a variable name for each field. While I can apply variable names to the fields, is there a way of eithera. displaying these names on a copy of the printed form, orb. adding text objects as conditional content to the form so that I can choose either to show or hide themI realise that I can set the visibility of individual el...

Hi all,I'm new to LC, so this may be a dumb question...but is there any way I can have combs that are formatted differently than the default? What I really want is a comb that has an open top, and preferably even has shorter teeth between elements - so for example a date comb collecting a date in the formation dd/mmm/yyyy would have full height teeth at either end and between day/month and month/year, but the separator between the three characters making up the month, (or 2 for day, or 4 for year...
