Re: Page level locking vs Field level locking - Adobe LiveCycle 12-07-2013
Thanks, Jono and VJay.I was able to resolve this by placing all the other fields on one subform and the override buttonn alone on another subform and locking only the former.

Drop-down list expand upwards - Adobe LiveCycle 12-07-2013
Hi All,I have a drop down list at the end of my page. when expanding it, the options cannot be seen in their entirety as the page ends immediately after. Users have to use the scroll bar to see all the options. Is there a way to make a drop down list expand upwards instead of downwards? Thanks.

Re: Page level locking vs Field level locking - Adobe LiveCycle 25-06-2013
I have text fields on this page along with Override button. I have written code to lock each and every field using below script:Form.Page.Field.access = "protected";But this is not working. So I locked whole page using Form.Page.access = "protected" script. It worked but Override button also got locked which I don't want.To unlock Override Button, I have written Form.Page.Override.access = ""; script, still it is locked.

Button still locked. I printed the status of the button on console an...

Adding version number to XFA form - Adobe LiveCycle 03-05-2013
Hi all,I would like to store a version number of my XFA PDF within the PDF. With static PDFs I can use a custom property from Acrobat to set this value and change it accordingly with each version. With XFA forms since this option is disabled, does anyone have any ideas on how I can achieve this?Help appreciated.Thanks.

Re: Some protected fields are still editable - Adobe LiveCycle 16-04-2013
Thanks for the responses.@ruedesigns: No, the fields are not part of a Forms Object Collection.@kvdvijaykumar : All checked and verified that there is only one place where we are setting the access to the fields..

Some protected fields are still editable - Adobe LiveCycle 12-04-2013
Hi,In my LiveCycle PDF, I have a large number of fields that I have set to "protected" access depending on some conditions. However a couple of fields are still editable despite their access showing as "protected" (in console debugger window). None of the other fields have this problem. What could be causing this? Please note this happens for most cases, but in some cases even these troublesome fields correctly show as uneditable.Thanks.

Re: Javascript error when launching XFA pdf from browser - Adobe LiveCycle 19-03-2013
From my PDF, I'm reading an external XML file that I pick up from a server share location. Based on the XML data, I am also reading another PDF, populating it with data from the XML and displaying the same to the user.. Hope this helps.

Re: Javascript error when launching XFA pdf from browser - Adobe LiveCycle 18-03-2013
@George: thanks for the quick response! My JS code contains a readFileIntoStream which I learnt is also to be run under privileged context. (still learning the ropes here.. ). I have been trying to incorporate the JS code directly into the PDF to get around this privileged context.. but I am unable to find a non-privileged equivalent for readFileIntoStream..Basically my users would be accessing the PDF from the server direct via the browser. For my testing purposes I am able to run the PDF direct...
