Hi Hemant, It is really a great explanation on creating a folder metadata and inheriting the folder metadata schema to sub-foldersNow I'm using AEM 6.5.So still, do we have to create either workflow or event listener to inherit folder schema to subfolders? it won't apply by default as metadata schema works? One more thing I'm trying to maximize the filed width as like the "Folder Title" field of the "Details" tab, but by default folder schema comes with a two-column view.Is this possible to maxi...

Of course you can migrate a running instance from a disk-based datastore to an S3 Datastore. Next to reconfiguration you also have to copy all the local binaries to S3 first before you start AEM with the new configuration. For details see the parameters for crx2oak (Using the CRX2Oak Migration Tool ), especially the --src-datastore and the --s3config parameters.Regarding GC on S3: That's straight forward and nothing special with it. In your case you can use the documentation for GC on shared data...

Hi Harish,Yes it is mandatory to start quickstart in run mode "dynamicmedia".(flag feature was removed 6.2 onwards)but you don't need to re-install it just stop the quickstart and run it again with same crx-quickstrat folder with additional run mode. would that work for you ?Thanks-Ravi

Hi!First a quick correction; Asset Share Commons [1] is not a Feature Pack but rather an open source project; just want to make sure thats clear.1) Creating an additional filter component with type-ahead; you're best best is to look at the Search Bar component implementation [2] [3] [4]. In alot of ways this would be a custom component. I think you'd want to do something like: * Create custom component like Search Bar * Create JS for the component to make the AJAX calls/etc. * Not understanding ...

Hi Harish,Either, you can just create these JS files and include them to your ClientLib. Then make sure that they have the correct categories and dependencies so that they will be included at the right point. After that they can be used from your other files in your code.If that is not enough and you really need them to be included at an earlier stage, you can create those files and make sure that a js.txt file will include your script files somewhere else. There are loads of these and you have ...

well, it's a little difficult without knowing the particulars of your situation, but the event that the listener reacts to typically has some parameters, and you can use those parameters as a way to access items on the dialog. What event are you listening to, and on what type of object?scott

Hi NZ ,I hope you are aware of workflows. There is a workflow step called OR Split which has radio buttons .Onclick of these , dynamically new tabs get created .You can have a look at this code which will help you in implementing the (+) symbol. For the drag and drop functionality , you can refer the image component of wcm to write a custom EXTjs function. I am working on Java code that uploads a file to CQ and saves the file to the CQ DAM. I am using a Sling Servlet and the JCR API to create app logic to save a file to the DAM. However - you still have to authenticate using the JCR API from within a bundle. For example: private String writeToDam(InputStream is, String fileName){try{ session = this.repository.loginAdministrative(null); Node node = session.getNode("/content/dam/travel"); javax.jcr.ValueFactory valueFactory = session.getValueFactory...

Hi Harish,Did you look at the createAsset method of AssetManager? See http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/javadoc/com/day/cq/dam/api/AssetManager.html#createAsset(java.lang.String, java.io.InputStream, java.lang.String, boolean)This accepts an InputStream. There's no need to parse the image file into a BufferedImage. If you had generated a BufferedImage through some other means (say, by generating one from scratch), you can use the ImageIO API to generate a byte array from the BufferedImage an...
