Re: Project Template People - Why do people end up on this list and what does it mean? - Workfront 12-04-2022
This list is your "project team". You (someone over at Follett) added them to this list at some point in the past -- either manually or automatically -- and then did not remove them (it's easy to forget to do this, or miss that this step is needed). You can click on this link for more information: https://one.workfront.com/s/document-item?bundleId=the-new-workfront-experience&topicId=Content%2FManage_work%2FProjects%2FPlanning_a_Project%2Fmanage-project-team.html&_LANG=enus Mostly the meaning of...

Re: Is there a way a user who is assigned to a task can designate someone else to complete the task when she is busy or out of the office. - Workfront 03-03-2022
tagging @Tara Patoile - inactive‚ for visibility If your workflow allows for this, the least complicated way might be to elevate the role permissions at the project level. I don't know which, but allowing for that job role to contribute to the project (or maybe they need manage access) would allow people in that role to have visibility to the project and a way to self-serve. Your other option would be to assign to a team rather than a single person but this has its own problems.

How can I set up email notification for a request (issue) that changes status from New-Pending Approval to Revise.? - Workfront 12-08-2021
We are using WF from our engineering change process. People fill out a custom change request form and that gets submitted to a change review board for approval and conversion to a project. Occasionally the review board needs more information and they change the status of the request (issue) to Revise. We were hoping WF would email the person requesting approval of an engineering change so they know the status has changed to Revise so they can provide more information and then change the status b...

Re: Is there a way to categorize Issues for reporting? - Workfront 24-08-2021
@John Weiss‚ I just came across this thread and I'm looking to create a similar report. I'd love to know more about what you've set up and how this has been working for you.

Re: Can a planner assign a portfolio, program and a company to a project? - Workfront 03-06-2021
Hi Dustin, Thanks for responding. Your post appeared as I was responding to Katherine. I will check to make sure the user has Manage Access to the program and portfolio as well. John W.

Re: How can I add a task status filter to a project report - Workfront 29-04-2021
Hi Anthony, That worked great. Thank you so much. Even though we've been using Workfront since the beginning of 2020, I struggle with creating reports. This community thread has been so helpful. Thanks again and have great day. John WeissWorkfront AdminFollett Products, LLC.

Re: How can I create a report/chart that shows the cumulative back-log of projects (Active projects at the end of each month) - Workfront 17-12-2020
Hi John, For this type of "time series", one approach (albeit manual) would be to create a special project called "Backlog Stats", add a zero duration Task for each month in which you intend to track stats with a Planned Start and Planned Completion that matches that month (e.g. "Jan 2020" would start and end on 1/1/2020, etc.), add a custom form behind each such Task where you can track (here's the manual part) the Number of Open Projects, Number of Closed Projects, and (as a calc) the Number o...
