Re: How can I create a 30day late task report and leveraging the Recent Activity "Update" field? - Workfront 16-03-2021
For "recent activity" are you looking for update comments posted on the task or ANY activity on that task? For update comments I would try the filter: All Notes >> Entry Date less than $$TODAY-30DFor any activity in the updates feed, I would try the new filter: Journal Entries >> Entry Date less than $$TODAY-30D

Re: Document Modification without download - Workfront 03-09-2020
With the advent of online and/or inline editing of documents becoming some prevalent, it would be great to see Workfront join the ranks of other cloud providers to offer this capability. I don't like having to create multiple workarounds with other tools to make this happen. Utilizing Onedrive for example adds additional administrative and training issues versus using the exiting WF system. Please HELP!!!

Re: Generic Workfront Landing Page? - Workfront 22-07-2020
Hi Brad, Yes, it's called a dashboard and you'll want to set one up as soon as possible and call it a Center of Excellence portal. In fact, there's' a WFPro Deep Dive on "Intranet Sites with Workfront" where I demonstrate how we operate our COE at Truist Financial using dashboards. And with a little help from WFPro Navigation and Package Manifest, we no longer have a problem getting around and finding things. Thanks,Narayan

Functional Admin Best Practice White Paper? - Workfront 23-03-2020
What is/are the typical best practices people have seen with the Sys Admin (full rights) vs developing a functional admin role in Workfront? Are there any real world white papers? I am not looking for a simple matrix of the differences as I have that already. Thanks! Regards Brad Smith, PMP | PMO Director http://www.oclc.org

Thank you! This was very helpful as we have Autosave on by default and never thought to turn it off. -- Brad J. Re: Request Queue Rejection Notification How To - Workfront 27-11-2019
Hi Brad, If you set your Approval process to set the Status to "Rejected" or Closed or something that equates to Closed, the Primary Contact (which is the requester – which I believe you're calling the original user) should get notified of the status change at the least (assuming you've configured that in your global Setup). Let me know if you need more info.

Re: WF Access Levels & Delete Feature or Bug - Workfront 14-11-2019
Hey Brad, The way access levels work is when an object is created or shared with someone in the system, then their access is raised via the Access Level, we don't apply the new access retroactively. Here's an example of why: You have a worker in the system that spends a lot of time doing work on tasks and issues. That worker gets a promotion to a project manager role. However, they're only responsible for projects for a certain department, whereas they were in a different department prior. For s...
