Need a way to set up a general out of office message in Workfront, so
that when someone sends you an update or comment, a notification is sent
that you are out of the office, as you would in Email. We're asking our
users to keep all communication within the project in WF, rather than
sending anything via email, so that OOO option would be helpful.
I've been asked several times if Workfront allows you to "copy" a
request that you've already filled out in order to create and submit a
new one. Or the ability create and save request "templates", that would
allow requesters the ability to quickly submit requests for projects
that they do frequently. This is not the same as copying a WF "project"
or "template", with tasks, dates, etc...This would be a copy of the
submtted request forms, complete with any custom forms, creative briefs,
Requesters should not be able to choose due dates which have been
designated as "Exception" dates on calendars. Right now, only TASK due
dates are impacted by the exception dates that the Admin sets up. This
exclusion needs to happen at the REQUEST level so that when a requester
chooses one of those dates, an error message appears advising that the
date is a "holiday", "weekend" or some other "exclusion" date, and that
they need to choose another date.
This would be a major improvement for those of us who use BOTH Workfront
AND Workfront Proof. Users should NOT be change a task to complete
unless all stages on the proof are approved. I run into this issue all
This would be a huge benefit to my team- I would like to add that we
should be able to copy from a previously submitted request BUT have some
edit capability, since at least some of the information may need to
change, requested completion dates, documents, etc...this is should be
accessible to ALL users- not just Admins.
Add functionality in WF to allow users to attach documents to the
"reply" field on the Updates tab on a project. It seems like it would be
a great shortcut function, rather than adding a note telling users that
you are uploading a document to the docs tab. Fewer steps for users to
take. It just makes sense that a shortcut could be made available to do
it right on the update "reply"- just like you can include a hyperlink.
