Re: Can we create a system wide custom status so one group can use it in an "Agile View" in a project (but they are not an agile team, just Agile View), but that status doesn't show up for every other group? - Workfront 15-02-2021
A-ha! Thanks for the clarification, Heather. That is confusing, but it actually makes my implementation easier. My "agile-specific" task statuses apply to only a very limited number of projects (actually 2 at this point); I moved those projects to a special "Agile" Group, hide those statuses from the Group that is used for all "normal" projects... and presto! All good now. Thanks again!

I have been unable to get this hack to work. When I unlock the system status, and then hide it from a single Group, it becomes invisible to all users--even users that aren't a member of that Group. If I "un-hide" it from that Group, it then becomes visible to everyone again. It's very puzzling. Am I missing a step somewhere?

Re: Freeze Agile Scrum Storyboard Statuses? - Workfront 08-10-2020
Hi, Jane. I feel your pain. This function works great for me... as long as i'm in the Classic View. When I switch over to the New Experience, the Status line scrolls right off the screen. I filed a ticket with the HelpDesk on this a few weeks ago, and their (maddening) answer was: "It was implemented differently than it was in Classic but is working as intended in New Experience. If you are interested in seeing it function differently, I would recommend adding the idea to our Innovation Lab." I ...

Re: Why are some timesheets with "submit" button and others with "Save and Close" button? - Workfront 22-09-2020
If the specific timesheet does not have an approver (regardless of how the TIMESHEET PROFILE is currently set up), then the user will see the "Save and Close" button. This could have happened in one of four ways: (1) the timesheet was created before the user's timesheet profile was set up with an approval process; (2) the timesheet was created before the user was assigned to a manager/supervisor; (3) the timesheet was created manually for some reason and an approver was not assigned at that time...

Re: Ability to customize system email notification message content - Workfront 01-07-2020
Wish I could vote for this one a few hundred times. This posted idea is brand new--isn't there an "older" version of this on the Exchange somewhere? I could've sworn I saw (and voted for) a similar idea years ago, but now I can't find it.

Re: New User Experience - Problems scrolling in custom fields - Workfront 02-06-2020
I agree, Louise. We have several long dropdown parameters, and the Classic supports them much better than the New Experience. I find it quite puzzling that this particular display issue is being dismissed as a browser problem.

Re: Getting timestamp from status changes - Workfront 24-04-2020
Ah, yes, I remember having to do that with a calculated field once a long time ago. Tricky little buggers, indeed. I followed your advice, and it's working beautifully now. Thanks for your help! ~Eric

Re: Getting timestamp from status changes - Workfront 24-04-2020
Hi, Heather. I was intrigued by your "two-step" calculated field approach and wanted to apply it to our Project custom forms. I was able to get the Current Status field entered, but I'm having trouble with the Status History calculation (which I THOUGHT would be easier, since I'm just copying your code). I've entered LEFT(IF(LEFT(Status History,LEN(IF(ISBLANK(Current Status),"-",Current Status)))=Current Status,Status History,CONCAT(IF(ISBLANK(Current Status),"-",Current Status)," (",$$NOW,") | ...

Re: How can you view "Upcoming Iterations" in the New Experience? - Workfront 18-04-2020
Thanks, Skye. I continued to puzzle over the issue this morning, and I discovered the problem lies in my layout templates. All of our company layout templates default to the "Iterations" tab not being visible when the user is viewing a "Scrum Team". All the other available tabs default to visible, but not the "Iterations" tab. The controls for Scrum Team, Kanban Team, and Waterfall Team within layout templates is something new with New Experience--so I suppose it's equally likely this is a "bug"...

How can you view "Upcoming Iterations" in the New Experience? - Workfront 17-04-2020
Hi, all. I've finally taken the plunge into the New Experience this week! Generally, the experience has been positive, but one change has me pulling my hair out today. "Upcoming iterations" used to be visible as a link in the (Agile) Team View, but I no longer see it in the New Experience; only the "Current" and "Previous" iterations are available. I created a new iteration that starts next week, but I was unable to access it once it was created. I finally gave up and switched back to the Classi...
