Our Issues (Requests) are opened on a single queue by our line of business units that we support. Each business unit has a designated group of users that can open requests for them. The queue is setup to belong to a Access Group of users from across the organization (basically, they can see it to open requests). Give PMs ability to prevent users from Logging Time to Completed Tasks - Workfront 13-03-2017
One of the biggest complaints from our PMs is that there is no easy way to ensure that users stop logging time to a task after it is "Completed". We will have situations were at the end of the month a person it needing to update their timesheet and they are entering hours beyond the date the task was closed. Prevent PMs from deleting Tasks/Issues that have time logged - Workfront 13-03-2017
Currently, despite our best efforts, PMs from time to time will delete a task/issue that had actual hours logged to it. The system doesn't "delete" the hours, but reclassifies them as Project hours, instead of Task or Issue hours. However, this creates a problem for us with financial reports that we use where we are tracking cost centers and codes for accounting at the Task/Issue level. This would be a big time saver, as we have the same issue. In addition, we'd like the message that displays to the assigned team members that maintenance is occurring. Currently, if you change the Project Status to Planning to do maintenance, the assigned resource sees a message on the My Work view that they are no longer assigned to the Task and they have a button available to remove it from their My Work. This is not so good. We've also asked that this be addressed.

We have the opposite problem. At times I need to find all the reports, etc. that have been shared with someone or a team and there doesn't seem to be a way to search Shared With. Do you have any suggestions?

Customizing General Hour Types -> Request for Improved functionality. Am I alone on this one? - Workfront 11-01-2017

Thanks Doug. We are using some of what you described....but not exactly. We pull key project info using calculated custom fields on the Issue custom form. However, the qualitative info (similar to your highlights this week) is on the actual Issue Form, not the Project. Based on your blog I don't think this difference is anything to radical. I'm really interested to see what gets posted on this one, as we have a similar problem. Our Status Reports (updates) are added to Projects as Issues (I'm guessing that is what you are referring to). Workfront consultants assisted us with this implementation as it is something that they did as well. The only way we found to include the latest status update in a report is to pull it from a reporting database that we load select Workfront data to every morning. That is a good idea, Ryan. An email with just the link to direct them to Workfront....they click the link and viola! the see the stuff they need to instead of getting confused by an attachment.
