One follow up: Why does it take so long? The Classification file itself is only a couple of KBs. What needs to be synced in the background?

You are my MVP!! Thank you so much. You would not believe how much time I spent on this. I think it should be stated more clearly in the official docs how to use Sub Classifications.

Hi all, After a classification import, the following pop-ups show up:Successfully uploaded rowsrows with no collisionsrows that had no effectI always check "Overwrite data on conflicts".Why is the number of rows with no collision zero, even if things were edited? And why ist the number of rows that had no effect usually very high even if almost every row in the file was edited? Thanks!

Any other ideas what can go wrong? The idea of assigning different Sub Site Sections to the same Site Section should work, shouldn't it?

Hi all, on the website it says that "Classifications typically don’t take longer than 72 hours."Does this mean that an exported classification file right after uploading it, is not up to date?Is there any sign that shows you if the changes are live or is checking the workspace the only thing one can do? Thanks!

Hi, thanks for taking the time! When checking the "Automatically download Classifications file after the import is complete" box, the file looks like I edited it/ want it. There only is a inactive Rule Builder. It should have no effect 😞

Hello all, My question is similar to Classification Importer Resulting in Incorrect Classification . However, the suggested fixes did not work for me.I have implemented a sub classification. When uploading the classification file all Sub Site Sections seem to be overwritten with one of the Sub Section values. In order to help you understand better, I'll show you what I did exactly: 1. Admin > Report suites > Edit Settings > Traffic Classifications > Select Classification Type: ChannelAdded a sub ...

Hi @AndRey, thank you for your detailed answer! May I ask a follow up question? What do you mean with "standardised value taxonomy"?At the moment the site sections get retrieved from the url. This would allow to apply general rules via the Rule Builder, doesn't it?At what point do you benefit from sub-classifications? If you had e.g. the urls www.test.com/products/shoeswould it make sense to have a "Site section" EXAMPLE MAIN SITE SECTION and a "sub-site section" CATEGORY?This URL would then be ...

And how can you get rid of site sections that are unimportant and should swallowed by a more general site section?

Hi @Khurshid_Alam, thank you for your response! Maybe I should be a bit more specific: The website has main site sections, e.g. PRODUCTS and sub site sections e.g. PRODUCTS > SHOES. What do you mean with creating a classification for site sections? Would you assign SHOES as a sub-classification of PRODUCTS?

Hi community,my goal is to restructure the dimension "site section" in Adobe Analytics. At the moment, there is mess of many irrelevant site sections and I would like to boil them down to maybe ten main site sections and some sub site sections. What is the best workflow for that? Is the implementation done in Admin > Report Suites, Admin > Classification Rule Builder or in a combination?Any help or hint is appreciated! Adam
