Hopefully this is coming soon. We also have a need for it, in our case we'd love the be able to match the ends with "button\:(.+)$" but unfortunately the current filter options does not allow that.

I'm in the process of implementing a datalayer similar to what AEM components (but without using AEM) are using, but the component property. After reading the documentation I got a little confused why in this tutorial https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-learn/sites/integrations/analytics/create-analytics-workspace.html#integrations they're using "Button Id" instead of just sending "Component Id" to evar 8 without the condition where they filter out on "Component Type" butt...

I really hope this will be supported soon. For example in the "Set Variables" Action, it is very error prone having your evar, props and events mapping done in the UI, and then below inside the custom code, where you set the list variable, you have to know / remember to maintain the linkTrackVars and linkTrackEvents or they will not be included in the reporting. It should be a fairly simple task to support list variables from the ui since the implementation could just be the same as for evars.

@yuhuisg- I gave it a shot with both set on Visit expiration, and the results were a bit of a mess. The eVar was set to last touch, and the listVar, full, and I found that the information was jumbled together. I passed "favorite colors" into an the eVar and a list of three or four colors into the listVar (same hit), then repeated the process (different colors) a few times. I followed that by setting the eVar to "best pizza" and passing various types of pizza into the listVar. The image below sho...
