Hi @Brian_Johnson_ not sure if you know of a solution to firing a rule based on a page name, ie. fire rule when event.detail.page = "Page4"? Unfortunately the dev team have given all of the pages in our journey (around 25) the same custom event name of Salesforce.

As always, many thanks for you help Brian. In your example you used the following:var event = new CustomEvent("Salesforce", { detail: { page: "Page1" } }); document.body.dispatchEvent(event);I'm wanting to trigger other events based on different page names, ie. a rule to fire when event.detail.page = "Page4". Is this possible? Or would it be better to look for some sort of hash/code change and build the rule on that?

Hi @Brian_Johnson_ , The team have added the custom event snippet you supplied to load when the page initially loads. For my rule, do I simply need to set the rule as below?

Hi Brian, many thanks for your response. I'll take a closer look but definitely sounds helpful. In terms of field interaction tracking, we would firstly like to track form fields. Eventually, link and button clicks may be something we want to track, but in the first instance we want to track application journey drop out to see if a specific field is causing high dropout.

We are building a new product with a website built via Salesforce (I found one unresolved article from 3 years ago but nothing else on the community). - The site is primarily a single page application so no page refreshing- The main user journey is an application process with "pages" based on flows- A flow is a Salesforce mechanism for automating business processes and consists of steps that manipulate data, make decisions and show the data- The screens use Lightning Web Components to show the d...

@yuhuisg It gives me a blank value. I tried with a text string as a test and it worked fine, but %this.@text% shows as blank link name

@yuhuisgmany thanks for your reply. Where would I specify %this.@text%? I tried putting it in Custom Link - Link Name for the beacon I'm sending.

Hi, I'm looking to tracking click interaction with elements on my homepage using CSS selectors. I can see the option for a rule in Launch based on click but unsure what syntax to specify under "Elements matching the CSS selector". The selector I'll be looking for interaction on is or . Thanks,James

Hi @PratheepArunRaj, I want to capture path name MINUS domain and QSPs. Brian's answer is very helpful but still includes QSPs and as you mention this would cause many duplicate pages to be captured separately.

Hi, Apologies if this is mentioned but I couldn't find anything in Adobe documentation or on the forums. A site I'm working on doesn't use a data layer and currently only passes URL into the Page Name variables. I'm looking for a workaround to pass URL minus domain and query string parameters into the Page Name var, possibly with slashes replaced by colons. Is there a rule for this I can use within Adobe Launch? Assume it may require some custom code. Thanks,James

Hi, Wondering if anyone can help... Our user journeys contain a lot of duplicated pages regardless of whether a customer is new or existing. Their initial starting page is usually different, but then they would be sent through the same conversion funnel as another journey (we have around 5 or 6 starting pages depending on traffic source but only two different conversion pages) This poses an issue when wanting to split these journeys from an analysis POV in Analytics and Clickstream. I think the ...
