Re: Failing to customize AEM Site design templates for XML documentation kendalls5216292 - Adobe Experience Manager
I think the difference was that I copied the entire tree of nodes from libs to apps within my app and then modified them. I read that Sling Resource Merger can only be used with Granite. So, maybe the AEM Site output preset in the XML Documentation package doesn't use granite and that is the explanation.

Thanks. I do know the information you are mentioning. My case is unusual maybe because the components are being used to Render DITA content as part of the XML Documentation addon. The content is not in the JSP and it is nowhere that I have seen so far and that is the piece I don't know. I am guessing I can figure it out if I look at variables and parameters available to the JSP and look closely at the foundation components.

Re: How is the HTML that is generated by components repre... kendalls5216292 - Adobe Experience Manager
I think I understand that much. In the slingbucks example, the content part has JSON and the app part has ESP scripts that create HTML from the JSON, data the user entered and structure in the ESP. In my case, there is only HTML structure created by JSP and associated CSS and Javascript. I see no content anywhere, so far. I think my guess in the last paragraph might be how it is represented, the content is somewhere I don't know and the JSP is given access to it and transforms it to generate HTM...

How is the HTML that is generated by components represented in the repository? kendalls5216292 - Adobe Experience Manager
My knowledge of Sling and AEM is improving, but I'm still confused about a lot. I have components and templates that produce HTML using JSP. The last part of the path looks like this in CRX/DE: something/jcr:content/contentnode contentnode has sling:resourceType=foundation/components/parsysjcr:content has sling:resourceType=/apps/myapp/components/siteoutput/default/topicpagesomething has jcr:primaryType=cq:Page If I click on something, html is loaded into the browser with the last part of the pa...

Failing to customize AEM Site design templates for XML documentation kendalls5216292 - Adobe Experience Manager
I am slowly understanding more things about sling, but so far I have not been able to apply the knowledge to customize AEM site templates, for the XML documentation addon. There is a path to the template that has properties for other templates that transform content to different pages and areas of the page, like this: /libs/fmdita/config/templates/defaultjcr:primaryType=nt:unstructuredtopicPageTemplate=/libs/fmdita/templates/default/cqtemplates/topicpagetopicNode=jcr:content/contentnode /libs/fm...

What defines what nodes and properties makeup a component, with jcr:primaryType=cq:Component? kendalls5216292 - Adobe Experience Manager
For example, if I look at /libs/foundation/components/parsys there is a child node parsys.jsp. Does any jsp file get executed? Or what declares that that jsp file should be executed?I have similar questions about cq:Template, cq:Page etc.Note that the question is not: "how do I create a component?"

Re: How can I upload a directory tree in CRXDE lite to /etc/fmdita/dita_resources? kendalls5216292 - Adobe Experience Manager
Navigate, not write. I can't navigate to /etc over webdav, but I can to /etc/fmdita/dita_resources.

Ah. It's only the /etc path that I'm not allowed to write to. It works over webdav if use the full path.

Yes. The question is essentially asking how to do this without writing a program.

It doesn't allow me to drag files into /etc/fmdita/dita_resources when I've mounted the drive as admin.

How can I upload a directory tree in CRXDE lite to /etc/fmdita/dita_resources? kendalls5216292 - Adobe Experience Manager
I see how I can use curl in a script to do this. Can I do this by drag and drop? The files are text files (a DTD and XML catalog).

DITA-OT extract path kendalls5216292 - Adobe Experience Manager
The documentation refers to specifying a file system path on the server's file system where DITA-OT.zip is/will be extracted. But, it is not working. Re: Applying XML Documentation condition sets kendalls5216292 - Adobe Experience Manager
I can refine the question now.So, there are:1. Condition presets in a folder profile2. "Condition preset" in map, that is a list of names and values.3. The condition attributes themselves. What I see is that you have to attributes specified in DITA before the add button will add a condition to a map. So, it's finding attribute specifications and adding them. In other words, they aren't "preset", they are directly set. A nd, I guess you would need to keep track of te content so you know if you nee...

Re: Applying XML Documentation condition sets kendalls5216292 - Adobe Experience Manager
I've done so and am asking a question.I've created the folder profile, added users and specified the folder pathI've added a condition set and some condition attribute names and valuesIn a map editor, I see nowhere where the condition set can be selected. If I attempt to add an attribute it says "all properties have been added" instead of adding an attribute specification. Here is what I see in the map editor. How do I use the condition set that was added the folder profile of the folder this map...

Applying XML Documentation condition sets kendalls5216292 - Adobe Experience Manager
The documentation describes creating a folder profile and adding conditions to it. Separately, the documentation describes selecting a condition set in the map editor.I setup a folder profile and then tried to use it in a map in the folder that the folder profile specifies. When I select "condition set" there is no list to select from, and clicking add produces the message "All properties have been added".How do I use a condition set and how do I create the condition set to be used?

AEM connector for Oxygen kendalls5216292 - Adobe Experience Manager
Does the connector validate documents against local DTDs/schemata or from AEM? Does the connector interact with AEM in any way other than checking out/checking in reading / writing XML in AEM?

Auto-checkout and XML documentation and AEM 6.3 webclient toolbar kendalls5216292 - Adobe Experience Manager
I use AEM with DITA. The documentation describes enabling auto-checkout using /system/console/configMgrHowever, when I check disable edit without checkout, the result is that the "checkout" icon is greyed out in the web client and I can't edit the document. Do you know what needs to be done to allow checking out documents?Kendall
