E-mail submit button scripting - Adobe LiveCycle 13-05-2010
Hi,I have a form in which I need some scripting for the submit button. I would like for the e-mail address to depend on what checkbox is selected. I have five cities to choose from and each city has it's own e-mail address. Can anyone help me with the scripting? Can I do this if the form is static? Does it have to be dynamic? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

Visible text - Adobe LiveCycle 16-04-2010
Since I upgraded to Adobe 9, I've had a problem with a particular form. In the unsecured version, I have text that I made Visible (screen only) and it works as it should. However, when I add PDF Security in LiveCycle, save it and open it in Acrobat, the visible (screen only) text now prints. It didn't do this before in the previous version of Adobe. Does anyone know why or how to fix this?Thank you,Erica

Required text fields - Adobe LiveCycle 01-04-2010
I'm trying to make a couple text fields required before printing a form. I tried choosing "User Entered-Required" in the Value tab, and checking the "error" box in the validation pattern area, along with a message, but if I tab over the field, it doesn't populate anything to say this field is required. Can anyone help? Thanks,Erica

Print button that prints particular pages of form - Adobe LiveCycle 16-03-2010
Hi, I'm not familiar with scripting, but I'm thinking a script might be necessary for what I want to do. I have a form that is 4 pages long. The first two pages are instructions, the last two are the actual form. Can I add a print button to the document that will print the last two pages rather than the entire document? And would the button need to be on the 3rd page (top of the actual form) or the 4th page (end of form)? Thanks!

Re: Object presence and security - Adobe LiveCycle 27-01-2010
I don't know if this makes a difference, but I also discovered something else. I have buttons that are "visible (screen only)" on these forms that are working correctly. Could it be that the text objects cannot be made "visible (screen only)"? I've tried moving the text objects to the background, but that option is greyed out. I still don't understand why the text objects print on the secured versions if they are set to "visible (screen only)."

Re: Object presence and security - Adobe LiveCycle 26-01-2010
Hi, no the "visible (print only)" option was not set. Every secured version I check, has "visible (screen only)" set.Attached are the two versions. One has no securities added. The second is the secured version. Thanks!

Object presence and security - Adobe LiveCycle 25-01-2010
I'm having a problem with visibility on a form created in LiveCycle Designer ES since I had Adobe 9 installed. I have a text object visible on screen only, however, when I add securities to the form, somehow the object becomes visible when the form is printed. Any ideas? Thanks!

Re: help with drop down list - Adobe LiveCycle 30-12-2009
Thank you!!! One more question, do I have to add a text field below the drop down list for it to execute the email address?

Re: help with drop down list - Adobe LiveCycle 29-12-2009
I'm trying to do something very similar. I need a user to choose an option from a drop-down list, then depending on what they choose, a text field will populate an email address. Any clues on how to do this? Thanks!
