AME Forms Designer/LiveCycle Designer question:Is it possible to add keyboard access to trigger the 'Mouse Up' action for Regular or Execute buttons? For submit button, I can use Tab key to navigate to the button, then press Enter/Return to trigger the button action. However for other buttons this doesn't seem to work?Is this something that can be scripted in?

I've had similar issues with ES4, and remember that originally the registry fix didn't work. From memory, I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling LiveCycle Designer ES4 and also running the SP1 update: https://helpx.adobe.com/livecycle/help/whats-new-livecycle-es4-sp1.html, which contains a fix for importing Word into flowable form. Also: Just a thought should the string value be "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office15\" (e.g. add 'root' as that is the WINWORD.EXE location?).

The Print Form Button should trigger the Print dialog box in Adobe Acrobat Reader or Adobe Acrobat. The person viewing the PDF can then select printer and set appropriate printing options before actually printing the form.

An additional question. When you save the PDF forms you create in LiveCycle Designer, what application are you testing them in?Are you testing them in Adobe Acrobat Reader, or Adobe Acrobat for desktop computers? Keep in mind that LiveCycle Designer forms won't work as intended in all PDF viewers, but work best in Adobe PDF viewers.

For the Submit button:It depends a little on what it is you want the Submit button to do on the form. There are different types of Buttons in the Object Library, that allow you to do different things. Like send a filled in PDF back to an email address, or just the data that's been filled in etc.ButtonEmail Submit ButtonHTTP Submit Button In simple workflows, where you want to email the PDF back to an email address you can:Use a standard Button. In Object panel, click Field tab (default) and set Co...

Is there a way to set-up a date field so that it validates entering 4-digits for a Year only data entry?I've tried setting Validation Pattern to date{YYYY}, however that throws an 'pattern is invalid' error.Had a bit of a browse on the forum, but not been able to find a solution for this. Thanks heaps,Cari

Is it possible to add a line to a calculation script (JavaScript) that prevents a validation dialog from appearing for a calculation field?Scenario:Working with fields in an inserted table. In each row I have a couple of fields the user enters. These fields have a Validation Pattern enabled as the user must enter data correctly. Then there is a field that is calculated based on the data entered by the users. It is this field that throws a warning dialog box "The value you entered for Total_Row1 is...

Converting AcroForms to LiveCycle Designer forms is tedious I find.If you are using an JavaScripts in the AcroForm you'll need to edit them to work with LiveCycle Designer.I also find hyperlinks and email links disappear. After conversion, I generally wrap content into logical subforms, this helps with the control of what needs to be reflowable and what not.Depending on how well forms are structured this can be a messy task, on occasions I partially or fully recreate the forms from the ground up ...
