Re: Can someone tell me why we are getting this error message when users try to open?

- Adobe LiveCycle 27-03-2015
We would also really appreciate an answer to this question. We are having the exact same issue with some new forms we have created. They were created in Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES4, and then usage rights were extended in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. When this issue is encountered we send the old version of the form, it was created using the same process a number of years ago, so the only difference is that we were using older versions of both programs. The same recipients who have an issue with the ne...

Hi,Here is a direct link to the updated version of the script. One of our clients recently installed it and it seems to be working as great as the original did for us!http://blog.practicalpdf.com/2013/08/introducing-the-practicalpdf-fix- form-utility/

Thank you. Yes, the article that you provided does address the very issue that we are facing. However, unfortunately we do not have access to the recipients' Mac settings. The script that this article referenced is the one that we have been using and it worked very well. Unfortunately, it does not seem to work with the newer versions of Acrobat. Essentially, we are looking for an updated script?

Forms filled with Mac are blank?
Q34
- Adobe LiveCycle 25-09-2013
This issue has reared its ugly head again. See old post: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/507750?The script has worked great, however now our client is using Acrobat X and cannot get the script to install in that version. Does anyone know if a new script is available for the newer versions of Acrobat? Thanks!

Re: Completed PDF returned blank? Form not filled out using MAC.

- Adobe LiveCycle 17-10-2011
I just tested the form, by entering data and printing to PDF and it works fine. Also, the form submitted by the client still allows data entry so it has not been printed to PDF. I apologize that I can't give you more info, and understand that makes helping rather challenging This form has been working fine for two years, so I will just chalk it up to a once-off anomaly. If it does happen again, I will try to get more info and post again. Thanks again for your response.

Hi Paul,Unfortunately, I do not have access to the form recipient, but I have been informed that they are not using a MAC and the Properties of the returned form indicate the PDF Producer: Acrobat Distiller 8.1.0 (Windows).Thanks.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I cannot post the document as, although it appears blank, the client has entered personal information into the form. Thanks for the link.

Completed PDF returned blank? Form not filled out using MAC.
Q34
- Adobe LiveCycle 14-10-2011
We have created a number of forms in LiveCycle. The submit button returns the form as a PDF and usage rights are enabled. They have been working well for a couple of years. We did encounter the issue of forms being returned blank when completed using a MAC in the past, but that problem was solved with a provided script.Just recently another form was received blank, however in this case, the recipient was not using a MAC to complete the form. The form looks fine at their end and they have tried t...

Hi,Yes, requesting that recipients complete the form with Adobe Reader not Mac Preview does seem to solve the problem. The script also worked great for us on forms that had already been completed with Preview. If you would still like some more info on the script, the original script and some dialogue about the issue and solution is from a blog called The PDF Developer Junkie Blog, the entry was entitled Script to Fix Mac OSX Preview.app Form Fill and Save. If you enter the title into the search f...
