The smart crop feature is specific to AEM Dynamic media, and renditions
are pulled directly from the DM cloud. Under CRX, the asset metadata
would not show smart crop renditions. For generating the smart crop URL
for an asset, apply the processing profile on the folder first and
then upload assets. Once assets are processed under the Renditions
section, you'll see the Smart Crop option, and if the asset is
published, the option to generate the URL will show up.
@J_Flo For making the collections and assets visible to non-admin users,
you've to share the collections/assets with them in Brand Portal. Follow
instructions from this help article
If the assets are still not visible after following the above steps, I
recommend opening a support case with us for further investigation.
@TB3dock - Did you find a way to do this? I was going through
but don't see a documentation on connecting AEM as Cloud Service
instance with Dynamic Media and generate desired renditions. Update: I
found this -
but feel free to add more...
Thanks Vikas, I actually think we've been misusing the "template"
technology. We upload layered psd files but don't need any of the
associated "template" technology such as text editing or adding dynamic
content into these images. I've simply unchecked "create template" from
my job options on upload, I think this should take care of the problem!
I appreciate all your input, that final test is what lead me to
(hopefully!) the answer to our issue. Thanks again!
Thanks Vikas for the confirmation, we thought about this conflict and we
noticed the sync issue as well, but AEM had provision to create multiple
dynamic medic configurations under different conf folders. So we thought
of confirming the same with a higher audience in this group. Thanks
At present, there is no option to configure these email notification
settings in Brand Portal via Admins. However, it's in the product
roadmap and would be introduced in future releases. The reference number
is CQ-4317727, please note there is no tentative release date or cycle
provided by the product team on this yet.
It's not possible to extract the usage reports using API in Adobe Brand
Portal. You can download or view them in the Brand Portal UI. More
information on reports can be found here:
