Re: Reporting with Allocation Percentage, Custom Fields, Matrix Reports - Workfront 10-08-2022
So I just want to make sure I understand what you are saying, here. So I canNOT use a calculated expression in the report's view, but I could create a task-level custom field and then roll up those values in the matrix grouping which would, effectively, produce the same result?

Re: Single-Prompt Dashboards - Workfront 04-06-2022
Would love to see an ETA on this one. Have been waiting on this feature for a while. There are a ton of use cases for Dashboard that would become possible with this feature.

Tasks View: Possible to display editable fields with a conditional statement? - Workfront 19-05-2022
I have a task view that I am trying to create. I want to create a column called "Effort" that shows Duration if it is a child task (numberOfChildren = 0) and the Planned Hours if it is a parent task (numberOfChildren > 0) in the same column. The reason is that the Calculated Work setting only allows me to edit Duration, not Planned Hours, but I want the aggregation of Panned Hours on parent tasks rather than Duration's aggregation. I will be entering Duration in hours (e.g., 2 hours) rather than...

Re: Custom Aggregation in Parent Tasks - Workfront 19-05-2022
It looks like the aggregator code affects groupings only, not parent tasks. However, it works effectively for groupings. Is there a way to essentially apply the same specifications for how it handles aggregated data on the parent task?

Complex Filter to Reference Other Projects Based on the Project the Report is Being Viewed Within - Workfront 15-05-2022
My overall desire is to have initiative requirements that apply to a given project be listed in a custom report that appears on the lefthand navigation of the project. Here is what I have: Regular projects. These projects contain a custom field called "Initiatives" where one or multiple initiatives can be selected by checkboxes to indicate which initiative(s) apply to the regular project.A custom layout template that contains a dashboard on the sidebar called "Requirements." This dashboard conta...

Re: Customs Fields reportable through a Typeahead Object - Workfront 14-02-2022
Hi - with today's change to "not planned" could you clarify the reason for it not being planned? Does Reporting 2.0's new framework make this no longer needed?Today we have multiple Fusion jobs copying data from one object to another as a workaround. Those jobs & the resulting duplication of data are creating maintenance costs for both Workfront & us. Additionally, support is blaming the reporting hoops we're having to jump through on performance issues that are giving a negative impression of W...

Re: Limit Access to Projects - Workfront 18-11-2021
Hi I agree with @Chloe Rock‚ , in addition to above suggestion it is also possible to give view access via template also. If the specific template for specific portfolio type, it also makes easier after creating projects. Then even the project manager don't have access via portfolio then can see via access given via template too. Even you can create a team of managers and share is there also. This will also reduce the challenges we face for inherited permission part.MvhKundan.

Interactions Between Task Cost Type, User Cost Per Hour, and Job Roles - Workfront 25-08-2021
If I set the Cost Type of a task to be Role Hourly but the Job Role has a blank for the Cost/Hr, does Workfront calculate the task's actual cost based on the Cost Per Hour of the user who logged hours, or does it take the cost to be $0? More broadly, how does the user's Cost Per Hour interact with the task's actual cost if the Cost Type is set to Role Hourly? My scenario is that I want all actual costs to be based on the user's Cost Per Hour (set up on the User page per user) for all hourly folk...
