So for all rule-based traits, can I specify the data source to be my cross-device data source if that is the profile repository I want to enrich with onboarded as well as real-time data?

Hi,I always go off of my primary/biggest trait and it's associated data source & integration code.I would usually in this instance start off with my CRM trait then include/exclude the analytics trait afterwards.EDIT: Also, if you're using CRM data, it's likely you'll want to authenticate against it too - another reason to put this firstHope this helps

Right, Maybe you can set flag for logged in customers in cookie or local storage to identify logged in user and use that cookie or local storage value for creating audience with help of adobe launch. if you don't have/want anything like that, every website have some identifier to check login status of user, you can use that condition to create your audience.
