Re: visible (print-only) creating empty space when viewed on screen - Adobe LiveCycle 07-03-2013
I was able to figure it out. I made each row object invisible from the Initialize event then visible at Preprint then when you open the print dialoge box the rows reappear behind it before you print. thanks for your help, i wouldnt have gotten to this conclusion without your clues!

Re: visible (print-only) creating empty space when viewed on screen - Adobe LiveCycle 07-03-2013
hi Mandy, I'm back at work today and it doesnt seem to be solving my problems. i'm replacing "objectname" with the name of the object, in this case my fields are in tables so im using the parent object, or row name, to add the events, but i did try it by child and subform and that didnt do it either. only thing that actually changes the visibilty is the presence: drop down box in the Object tool box, but you are suggesting not to touch those settings at all right? what could i be doing wrong?

visible (print-only) creating empty space when viewed on screen - Adobe LiveCycle 06-03-2013
HI, so I have 4 forms that are about 16-20 pages long each with tons of drop down boxes in them and my client just asked me to "by the way make sure they print out with all the options layed out for those who cant fill it out on a computer." Easier said than done i guess cause as soon as I started making visible (print-only) sections i realized that i was just creating blank space for the on screen versions where the print only text would be placed when printed. Is there any way to not have this...

Re: LiveCycle Created Form, Rights Enabled for Reader, User Opens, Rights disabled! - Adobe LiveCycle 10-01-2013
Well, I was hoping in the begining that it was my employees' computers but they are spread out over the east coast with altering levels of computer competency and I just couldn't nail down a commonality between them. Varying versions, time zones, and OS (some XP and some Windows 7). I went ahead and sent you an email. thanks!!!

Re: LiveCycle Created Form, Rights Enabled for Reader, User Opens, Rights disabled! - Adobe LiveCycle 10-01-2013
Hi, thanks for taking the time to read my question and respond. I have read about some of the time stamp and version issues and elimatinated them as possible causes of my problem. I do use the Additional Features option when extending, and use Acrobat Pro X. Although when the problem first began I was still using 9 and anyone who opened a form using Reader X would get an error (which is why I upgraded a while ago thinking that was the issue, though clearly it was not). I am not a formally traine...

LiveCycle Created Form, Rights Enabled for Reader, User Opens, Rights disabled! - Adobe LiveCycle 09-01-2013
Hi, I create forms for my company using LiveCycle Designer on PC. I have been doing so for 3 years. Using XP, then Windows 7 and now Windows 8. I have created over 100 forms this way, both static and dynamic, usually with digital signatures and multiple pages. I upload to our company's employees' portal and they are downloaded and sent in from locations across the United States and Puerto Rico. My normal process is to create them in LiveCycle, open them in Acrobat Pro, Extend the rights to Reade...
