Re: Remote object with java. - Adobe LiveCycle 02-01-2007
That is a solution, but then why have the option of compilingand publishing? Which BTW runs much faster since I do not have towait for the compile. At the end of the day, the better option isto not use remote objects and instead use Data Services.

Re: Standalone Flex interfacing with Java - Adobe LiveCycle 16-11-2006
If you can map out your questions to an XML file, then youcould read the file without having to be connected to the internet. Also, and I forget where this is, Flex supports the concept of adisconnected user, you may want to do some searching on that andthat may give you some additional features.BTW, as Andy mentioned Apollo is very cool, I am not sureexactly how it will give you more features then Flash/Flex otherthan being able to run your application as well an application(outside the browser)...

Re: FDS OS X - Adobe LiveCycle 28-09-2006
I am not sure if it is officially supported but you should beable to use it now. The only issue I have run into on the Mac withthe current version is FlexBuilder.

2 things1) your method should be doTest not createTest for yourremote object2) you need to add an endpoint to your remote object

Re: mysql php insert update delete select rows using data services - Adobe LiveCycle 06-09-2006
You may want to create webservices using PHP for this. Checkout the PEAR library, I believe they have some libraries that couldhelp you create your services.

Re: event.token.kind is undefined - Adobe LiveCycle 28-08-2006
Seth -That makes a liitle more sense. But how would one go aboutdoing what you are talking about? Do you simply create a newAsyncToken("fill") then call ds.fill() and hope for the best? Or doyou have to attach the token to the data service? Or do you set aconfiguration parameter? Or ???The current documentation page 1225 of the Developer's Guidemakes no mention of that, it appears that it just happensmagically. Thanks again.Ken

Re: event.token.kind is undefined - Adobe LiveCycle 28-08-2006
Seth -I got all that. The problem is on the delete you actually get2 messages. One for the delete and one for the commit (save). Thisis because the item is deleted, great, and then the commit happens. So for a logical unit of work you have problems with giving theuser a message like "Your delete worked" because you then get"...and oh yea your save that you did not issue worked as well".And one other thing the token.kind is actually undefined. Atleast that is what I am getting back. Ken
