I am using javascript (below) which works perfectly until the form is saved with data and reopened not displaying those data fields because I am not “re-triggering” because there is no exist taking place upon just opening a completed formButton1.Parent.STPA.Note_Type::exit - (JavaScript, client)if (this.rawValue=="Tax Anticipation")Sub_PropertyTax.presence="visible"elseSub_PropertyTax.presence="invisible";if (this.rawValue=="Tax Anticipation")Tax_Set_Aside.presence="visible"elseTax_Set_Aside.pre...

But when I do that my subform is not visible when I select from the item from droplist that should make my subform visible.

On my main form I have a field users must select from a droplist. Depending on what they select I have different subforms with questions that become present. The main form triggers the event from a "On Exit" so my problem comes into play once the user has completed and saved this form and they reopen it the completed subform is not visible. I understand its because no "exit" took place upon opening the saved form, but how should I handle?

Based on how the user answers a question being asked in "this.rawValue" field, I want other fields to become visible. I have this code and it worked until I added the last reference. If the users answers "Rating" I need three fields to become visible otherwise hidden and I don't know how to state it properly.if(this.rawValue=="RefExempt")NPV.presence="visible"elseNPV.presence="hidden"if(this.rawValue=="DExempt")Discount.presence="visible"elseDiscount.presence="hidden"if(this.rawValue=="Rating")R...

But everytime I do it as operators instead of comparisons it doesn’t even computer if the user answers No. Whereas, if I am using the comparison operators it at least computes if answers are no.Form attached.Does it matter that my two question fields are droplist

Good afternoon-I hope you might still be available for assistance. When I run the script below in my LateFee field, it works if the two questions (QSFiling and LateFeePd) are answered NO.However, if the user changes their initial answer from NO to YES the LateFee remains set at 100dataroot.Fee.LateFee::calculate - (JavaScript, client)if(dataroot.Parent.SReport.QSFiling.rawValue ="No" && dataroot.Parent.SReport.LateFeePd.rawValue ="No"){ dataroot.Fee.LateFee.rawValue=100;}else{ dataroot.Fee.LateF...

Not working. Does it matter that the “LateFee” field is in the Voucher subform and the two questions are in my SReport form?

I made that change however when I change the answer No to Yes or Yes to No it still does not recalculate, its sits with whatever I first answered in those fields.

The calculation below works for determining a late fee IF the user answers No to BOTH questions in fields "QSFiling" and "LateFeePd". How do I have the late fee show 0 if the questions are any answer other No? OR when they might change from NO to a YES if(dataroot.Parent.SReport.QSFiling.rawValue ="No" && dataroot.Parent.SReport.LateFeePd.rawValue ="No"){dataroot.Voucher.LateFee.rawValue=100;}

Not finding the problem with this: if (NumericField2.rawValue*0.02 <100) {TotalAmount.rawValue=100;}if (NumericField2.rawValue*0.02>1000) {TotalAmount.rawValue=1000;}if (NumericField2.rawValue*0.02 >100 and <1000 {TotalAmount.rawValue=NumericField2*0.02;}

The form itself will have one field for the user to enter a previous years value (expenditures) and another field for them to enter current revenues, and the third field (which I am calling TextField4 at this point), will display either an up arrow or a down arrow depending on whether or not the number has increased or decreased.Maybe this additional information will help you understand better what I'm trying to do. The obvious is that I am not a programmer here 🙂

Thanks for the reply, when you say I could use a Wingding font and pass through the appropriate character do you mean:if(GF_Exp_P gt GF_Exp_C) then TextField4="V"else TextField4="^"EndifI need to get some nice looking much bigger arrows to show up on this form as a result of the greater than less than, that is taking place. What else can I easily do to accomplish this?

I am working in Live Cycle Designer (version 8.2), FormCalc, trying to determine how to get this to work:if("GF_Exp_P">"GF_Exp_C")thenTextField4="Thumbs-Up"elseTextField4="Thumbs-Down";EndifActually what I want instead of the "thumbs up" "thumbs down" is instead an up arrow and a down arrow but I don't know if that can be done via FormCalc or if Javascript is needed. If javascript is how I have to go, can someone assist me with that as well, I know ascii would probably be needed but I do not kno...
