Hello Stephanie,Was this resolved for you? I'm having the same problems too. Workspace some times let the users submit form and doesn't carry data.I'm not sure how they run the latest versions without making it compatible with the existing applications.Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi,Is there any way to implement error handling into a formcalc function? I'm using a Get function to call a file from a web server... It works if there is an internet connection but returns a formcalc error if no connection is available. I would rather return a more discriptive message to the user if no connection is available. I can't seem to find any error handling in any formcalc documentation. I'm just looking for a simple if/then statement to address this. This was asked earlier too. But, t...

Hi Steve,Sorry about that.Problem - nothing is hapenning when I click submit button on workspace. Without switching to XDP, how can we update the flags of xml? Because I have to make the manager fields visible based on flags when form goes to next level.I tried this process and the signature is coming well on the form. I'm looking for the missing piece. (I have process fields and form bridge on the form).Kindly advise if there is a better practice in implementing these kind of scenarios.Thanks,K...

Hi, I have a form with 3 signatures. Initially, user will fill the form, sign it & submit it. Then it reaches manager with additional fields (comments & signature field). He will enter comments and sign it. Then it goes to HR and he signs it and the final form would go to employee with all the three signatures.I tried implementing it this way.1. User submits it as PDF.2. Export XDP data from inputPDF in process using exportData service.3. Use setValue service to change some flags. (this enables ...

When I assign the xml without special characters, its running fine. Please assist on how to handle this? My expectation is that user should be prompted in the form when h...

Hi,Some of the send email operations randomly fails due to invalid recipients address or some connectivity issues with SMTP server. Once we do the corrections to the service, and retry those stalled operations, its erring out with Java Nullpointer exception.Stalled operations work fine for other operations except for email service. Is this a Engineering issue with the Adobe design or do we need to change any configuration settings to make that work? Thanks for your time.Regards,Krishna

i have a digital signature field on form. Code written in presign event to check for mandatory fields. If failed, popsup a message to fill required fields and used the code xfa.event.cancelaction = 1 to cancel signing the document. This works fine till here. Once user fills the fields and come to signature field to sign it, we see a error called 'Sign cancelled". Hi,We have no Content Management software in place. We have several long-lived processes running in Adobe LC 8.2. Examples like Employee feedback, New employement and Offerletters. They were developed in such a way that after all approvals done, in the final step, we are assigning them to a user named Repository or HRdata using Assign Task. So, if the admin team (authorized members are given username and password) wants to access the archive forms, they login to workspace and they see 10,000 ite...

Steve, It's served from LiveCycle. Form Bridge already exists for the form which runs good when we are in 8.2. Problem occurs only on ES2.Is it a must to include the URL for forms rendered with Document form variables?

Hi, I'm on LiveCycle ES 8.2. For PDF submit forms from workspace, I assigned the servername for submit as URL:http://adobe1234:8080/workspace-server/submit. We are using Document Form variable for this process. The reason is the forms will be digitally signed at each stage and we dont want to loose their signatures if forms go next stage. This works perfect when I submit the form. Now, we will be moving all the existing instances to new server and I want this URL to be server independent. I take ...

Hi, I'm using LiveCycle 8.2 ? When do we like to use document form or xfaform when trying to render forms in workspace? I mean what advantages we got on one over the other? One thing I got was with xfaform variable, you can enable saving it as a draft in workspace. I'm not getting the advantage of using document form (which was used in some of our earlier processes by our ex-employees).Moreover, we will be migrating our system soon to ES2 9.5. Will migrating bring any issues to the processes with...

Hi Nith, I tried exactly the same way and it worked perfectly in my test system. However in my prod system,After I added the exception and routed to the stall process, I saw that process got halted this (below screen shot) way. After the invalid principal exception thrown, it should goto the next step which is Stall process that generates the stalled branch error. As it got stopped here, now its not even allowing me to retry the operation. The process status is still in running state. I'm suing 8...

This sounds funny, but here is my scenario:I got 10 operations in a process. In the 6th step, it fetches the username to be assigned in the 7th step from the custom DB using JDBC service.Unfortunately, the username was not maintained properly (with some mistyping in the DB). In the 7th step, I use Assign User service which takes the username got from 6th step. As it cannot find the username (as it was a mis-spelt name), the operation stalls. If I see the status of the process,I seestep1 - COMPLET...

Hi, We are using ES 8.2 since one and a half year. Planning to upgrade it to ES2 9.5. So, I was checking the steps and suddently wondered to see our current GDS size is 100.5 GB!! We have many long lived processes, but the active RUNNING process instances are close to 40000 (40 thousand). Other processes are in completed state. Isn't this size too big from normal? If so, Can you help me the ways to clean the GDS without disturbing the running instances? Thanks in advance,kc
