In Analysis Workspace, have the possibility to move a dimension breakdown to another main dimension value

In AW one can break down an dimension value by another one. However, if one wants to break down another dimension value, one has to separately drag the breakdown dimension onto the new value. It would be easier if it would just be possible to drag and drop the original breakdown from one primary dimension value to another one in the freeform. I tried to insert a screenshot here which would explain things visually, but this does not seem possible, so there is only the text description of this ide...

I have admin rights - am able to see the names of all variables (props and evars) in the Admin interface. Is there a relationship with using Launch? I did test, however, with one of our properties that is tagged via Launch. I have used 'Login with AdobeID' and not with link account, since we do not use that anymore:

One click removal of filter in Analysis Workspace Table

It is possible to filter a dimension table in AW. However, I do not see an easy way to remove the filter again. Excel has the option, with one click, to remove a filter from a table. In WS I do not see anything else except clicking the filter, removing the text string, and clicking 'Apply'.Those are 3 actions, which I think is 2 too many.-->-->

Variable names in Adobe Experience Cloud Debugger

Hi I am using the AEC Debugger Chrome extension and have logged on with my Adobe EC account. From what I have understood one should now see the actual names of all props and evars as set in the Adobe Analytics Admin interface. However, I still only see the numbered evar and prop lists - no names:Why would this be?

I agree with what Lindsay writes - WS is often very slow too load and may fully freeze or crash if I try to do things too quickly. It seems that especially freeform tables with (multiple) breakdowns and segments are vulnerable to this.

Hi BrandonI found out that I double-clicked on the wrong cell (one row too low). Should have double-clicked the empty cell to the left of the metrics to select everything. so all is fine with this now!

Thank you for your reply Brandon - and for the tip about downloading an individual table! This is very useful. One thing: I noticed that the csv does not contain a first row with the column headers (Metric names). Could this be added?Strangly the table I exported contains a dimension breakdown (Referrer --> Entry Page) and the csv does contain one row for the broken down referrer where all metric headers are shown. And under that a row shows with the name of the breakdown dimension (Entry page) i...

I agree with the above - getting rid of the thousands separator (or offering a choice not to use it before exporting) and the conflict it causes will probably provide a fix.Still I do not understand why it would be so much work to do a decent xlsx-export. The functionality has existed in Reports and Analytics for a long time. To me it is not so helpful to be able to export the whole WS report to CSV anyway, since there may be many different visualisations and tables there. The common usecase for...

Change what is stacked in stacked bar graphs
Avatar

I have found that what is stacked in the stacked bar graphs is not logical. For example, with a pages report in a Freeform with several metrics, what is actually stacked is the metrics for individual pages. To me this does not really make sense - it is like adding apples and oranges in the same stack. What does make sense to me if, for example, Visit numbers for, say, the first 10 individual pages in the report are stacked - see screenshot below for current situation where different metrics are ...

Possibility to copy and paste components in Workspace Column Area
Avatar

Suppose one has created a table with breakdowns in the Column area:It would be very useful if it would be possible to copy and paste components (or selections of components) from one part of the column area to another. For example in the screenshot: that one would be able to select the 'iOS' and 'Android' segments (together) under the higher level 'Germany', copy them, and paste both of them them directly under 'France'. Currently it is only possible to move the segments but not to copy them. If...

Possibility to manually reorder rows in a Workspace Freeform Table
Avatar

When one has, for example, a number of metrics in the left side column under each other, it would be useful to be able to drag them up and down in order to change the order of them. There is a sort arrow but that only gives an alphabetic sort A-Z or Z-A on the names. See screenshot:So the idea would be to take, in this case, 'Unique Visitors', and drag it above 'Visits' for example. Off course the whole row to the right of the metric would move with it. This possibility to manually order the lef...

What I write here may have come up in other places in this forum. Here in Europe, csv does not open well at all. I at least have to do a manual data import in Excel using the import wizard. Also there does not seem to be a possibility to export just one pane or freeform - only exporting the whole report is possible. What I would like to mention here are the Excel export functionality of Adobe Insight. Adobe Insight has/had the possibility to export the whole Workspace to Excel in such a way that...

HiI am testing things and I noticed that page loads where the Adobe Analytics Pagename variable contains the ö-character are not shown in the AEC Debugger Network tab.I have not tested other Scandinavian characters, but suspect identical behavior. The pagename with the ö does show correctly in all AA reports.Does somebody know if this is a known bug? It is probably a recommended best practice not to use special characters in pagenames.

Hi BrandonExporting reports to Excel from Reports and Analytics always worked very well. Often only a little bit of extra editing was generally needed before sending them out. The csv-file I get after exporting does not open properly in Excel by itself. I would have to do a separate data import and clicking several times. Also the numbers in the csv have 1000-separator comma's in them which leads to difficulties since the commas are also used a as a separator between the individual numbers. Thin...

HiVisits are attributed to two different month rows when they cross the month border (midnight at the end of one month). In the 'total' row these visits are deduplicated as the other post describes.
