So, if I may restate your answer:No, AEM (CQ) All Capabilities 6.3" does NOT include AEM Designer 6.3AEM(All), however, includes Sites, Forms, communities etc and the EOL applies to complete suite. Designer being one subset of Forms onlyTherefore, core support for AEM Designer 6.3 DOES NOT end on 4/30/2020Please correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks, Mayak, but that doesn't really answer my question:"I looked at the end-of-life table and found something called "AEM (CQ) Forms" 6.0 and "AEM (CQ) All Capabilities" 6.1 - 6.4. Core support for 6.3 ends 4/30/2020. Is "AEM (CQ) All Capabilities 6.3" the same as AEM Designer 6.3"?

We are looking at the future strategy for our forms (1400+ statewide use). They are currently developed in the desktop application AEM Designer 6.3. We do not use the full server Experience. I looked at the end-of-;life table and found something called "AEM (CQ) Forms" 6.0 and "AEM (CQ) All Capabilities" 6.1 - 6.4. Core support for 6.3 ends 4/30/2020. Is "AEM (CQ) All Capabilities 6.3" the same as AEM Designer 6.3? If so, is there something comparable - so, just for forms development, and not th...

Bump for an answer. I have the exact same questions:Can you suppress tooltips, even if there is custom screen reader text? Setting the preference to None also disables the custom screen reader text. The ever-present tooltips are quite annoying.

Not on AEM yet, but am researching possibility for converting forms to PDF/A. What are my options? In previous years, went route of designing forms, printing to flat PDF, adding form fields. Much too cumbersome. Then went to ES3, where I still am.Thanks!

We have a shared custom library. I want people to be able to use it, and maybe also to be able to add to it. However, we just lost a few things, so I unfortunately have to restrict the ability to delete from it. I see in the shared library .xml file that permissions is set to "adm". The options in Group Properties to define what is allowed are grayed out. How to I do what I want to do?

I have exactly the same problem, just appeared today. Am working in ES3, have worked in LiveCycle for 3 years. So bizarre._______________User error, of course: I had somehow (keyboard shortcut???) locked the fields:Go to Edit, Lock - deselect whatever it is you have locked.

I found the answer myself:In the XML, I had to change the built-in “short” date pattern from:This could not be manipulated through the Object palette.

Let’s say we want a date that shows the date for termination of guardianship. Today’s date is July 12, 2016.I have added to my Designer form a simple Date object, display pattern specified as date{MM/DD/YYYY}. The user enters – via the calendar pop-up – today’s date and changes that last two year digits to “36”. When you tab out of the field, it reverts automatically to “1936”.Adobe’s definition for “YY” is : Two-digit year, where numbers less than 30 are considered to fall after the year 2000 a...

I work with court forms and ES3. Some future dates are +20, +30. Unfortunately, LiveCycle's built-in date field provides a date picker that understands a year where the last two digits are over 30 as "193x" and not "203x". How do I get around this?

A couple of things: A form is developed by staff, and then reviewed by the sponsoring committee – changes need to be highlighted for the committee. Once the committee finalizes the form, the end result – with all changes highlighted – is sent to internal review. Once that level finishes the form, the final version is sent for a period of public comment – also with all changes highlighted. This whole process is repeated after the comment period, and then the final form that will become the form p...

I have a workflow that requires the development of forms in LiveCycle (using Designer ES2) - but in the review process also requires highlights to the specific words/items that have changed. We save the LiveCycle form as static PDFs, and then we highlight the relevant items in Acrobat X. You can open the marked-up version in LiveCycle, and even though you get a warning the highlights will remain. Today's problem was:Worked on form in LiveCycleSaved as staticHighlighted relevant itemsOh, no, disc...

I have a subform, "OtherCaseAll_sf", with 11 checkboxes and 11 subforms ("OtherCase_sf[]"), all set to readOnly. Based on a user selection on a radio button, I either if == "1", open the parent subform "OtherCaseAll_sf", or if == "2", reset the fields in the subforms and make "OtherCaseAll_sf" readOnly again. Here's what I have on the Change event for the radio button grp:if (this.rawValue == "1") {OtherCaseAll_sf.access = "open";} else if (this.rawValue == "2") { var f1 = OtherCaseAll_sf.somExp...

We have several individual forms that nevertheless fit together in "packages" - the person filing the documents often have to file several forms together. Several fields on each form are the same and should be carried over btw. forms - for instance, "name", "number" etc. User would fill these bits of information in once, and the rest of the bound fields would be populated. The forms are developed in LiveCycle Designer ES2. I know I cannot add them together in Acrobat like we used to. I can add th...

IS the solution something you could share? I have a table, no cells or rows are set to Auto-fit, but the netire table is, and it is grayed out so I cannot deselect it. And yes, I keep getting the override warning.

I have a 22-page form that I need to split up btw. 2-3 people. 1. LiveCycle seems to allow any number of people working in the same file at the same time; how is version control handled?2. Could I - and how? - split the form, have more people work on individual pieces, and then combine the form again? Right now, I am unable to combine two forms created in LiveCycle. Thanks

Thanks, radzmar - however, the fields that need to be locked based on the selection in the exclusion grp are named with different names. They do all belong to a grouping called "OtherCase_gp", and all have names that follow the format "OtherCaseXX_yy". That's why I thought the recolveNotes/wildcard combination would be handy.

Adobe Pro X; ES2I need to set the access property for multiple objects based on the selection of a radio button group. I assume I have to use resolveNodes(), but cannot for the life of me get it to work. Here's what I've played with : if (this.rawValue == "1") { xfa.resolveNodes("OtherCase_gp.[*]").access = "open"; } else { xfa.resolveNodes("OtherCase_gp.[*]").access = "readOnly";} If I use Action Builder, I get endless lines of "oTargetField = this.resolveNode("OtherCase_gp.OtherCaseOther_cb");...
