Re: DataManagement Services issue - Adobe LiveCycle 20-11-2006
(a) Be sure that you've defined your ActionScript classcorrectly. It should include the [Managed] metadata as well as the[RemoteClass(alias="com.datasw.gdp2000web.model.commons.bo.Ente")]metadata included. The RemoteClass metadata maps the ActionScript class on theclient to the Java class on the server. When you have stronglytyped objects on both the client and the server, it is notnecessary to use the tag in the definition. The tag is only required when you use anonymousobjects on the client and...

Re: Problems with DataService - Adobe LiveCycle 14-11-2006
How do you compile the application? If you use the web tier compiler and request for compile viathe browser, you shouldn't have issues communicating with theserver. If you're compiling via Flex Builder or the Flex SDK, pleasebe sure that you specify both -services pointing to yourservices-config.xml and -context-root designating your context-rootas part of the compiler arguments.See the following Tech Note for information on configuringthe context-root -http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/i...

Re: Error on HelloWorld Flex Application - Adobe LiveCycle 03-11-2006
If you're trying to access a CFC via Remoting, you'll need touse the Remoting configured in CF.If you're trying to access Java resources, then you'll usethe Remoting configured in FDS. For example, the Java Remotingexamples that come with FDS should be accessed through FDS.In either case, the services-config.xml file is dual purpose. It is used on server startup (CF or FDS) to expose the server-sideendpoints. It is also used at compile time. If you are using FlexBuilder or the standalone compiler...

Re: Data Services access when the SWF is served from somewhere else - Adobe LiveCycle 02-11-2006
Yes, this is possible. You may compile your swfs ahead oftime and then deploy them on any web server. When compiledcorrectly, these swfs should be able to connect to your FDS serverback-end.When you compile your swfs with the command-line compiler, you'll need to make sure you specify -services as part of the compileroptions. If you services-config.xml file has {context.root} or{context-root} tokens, you'll also need to specify -context-root/flex where /flex is the context root for your web appli...

Re: Error on HelloWorld Flex Application - Adobe LiveCycle 02-11-2006
> Adding the context-root argument did the trick!Great, one user is off and running with FDS.> When I make a request to http://localhost/flex2gatewayI get a 404 - page not found. How do I set up the flex2gatewayservlet - I just followed the basic setup instructions and didn'tfind anything about flex2gateway.Okay, this is the issue that needs to be resolved. Theflex2gateway servlet should be defined in the CF application at/WEB-INF/web.xml. If you open that file, can you see thedefinition? You sh...

Re: Error on HelloWorld Flex Application - Adobe LiveCycle 02-11-2006
If you're using http://{server.name}:{server.port}{context.root}/flex2gatewaythen you'll need to specify the -context.root option with thevalue of your web application context root when you compile. What'sthe context root for the application that's running the/flex2gateway servlet? Be sure to include that.> and both give the same error. Are you sure that's the url where your application isrunning? What happens if you make a request from the browser to http://localhost/flex2gateway?
