Re: Variable watched folder input with OSGi workflow - Adobe Experience Manager 02-05-2019
That makes more sense. Given my circumstances I might not be able to test this and might have to use Workbench to get a similar outcome, but I'll mark as answered. If I do test and wrap my brain around it, I'll update this thread.Thank you very much for your help.

Re: AEM Watch Folders - Adobe Experience Manager Forms 01-05-2019
Thanks for the reply on an old post. I made a new thread with my full question since I think I'm getting into something different. Regarding your suggestions, I don't believe I am or should be dealing with subfolders beyond including "input/" in the workflow input. I don't how to tweak folderPath and includeFilePattern to make the workflow look into a specific path. I imagine I want to include everything for testing purposes so I left includeFilePattern wide open.

Variable watched folder input with OSGi workflow - Adobe Experience Manager 01-05-2019
(AEM Forms 6.4 on JEE)I am using a watched folder configured with an OSGi workflow that has a single OOTB Forms 6.4 step "Secure Document" that applies ARES credentials. My goal is to drop a PDF with a variable file name into the watched folder and get an extended PDF with the same name as output. The workflow runs successfully by itself. The workflow + watched folder combo only succeeds if I specify the exact file name as relative input in the workflow ("input/form1.pdf"; "input" being the CRX n...

Re: AEM Watch Folders - Adobe Experience Manager Forms 29-04-2019
This has frustrated me for weeks, so thank you for sharing.Setting workflow input to "input/" seems to work only if you know what the input file name is. Is there a way around this?I've tried "input/%F.pdf", "input/%F.%E", "input.pdf", "*.pdf", "input", the 'use payload' setting, etc. All throw the same or similar error about not finding the node.

Re: Unable to overwrite file in Secure Document step - Adobe Experience Manager 22-03-2019
Yes, the Forms 6.4 add-on.I pointed the workflow to "...(/.*/)renditions/original" on example and two other forms and all extended successfully. Seems odd that the 'output under payload' mode can look to the parent node while 'overwrite' can't, even though one is overwriting and one is not. Maybe for safety?Thank you for your help.

OOTB. Input is simply 'use payload'. No encryption, locking, or signatures.

Unable to overwrite file in Secure Document step - Adobe Experience Manager 21-03-2019
I have a one-step workflow that Reader-extends uploaded PDFs using the Secure Document step. Payload is a single PDF of type 'dam:Asset'. When the workflow output is set to "Overwrite Payload File", the job fails. Last lines in the failure details:Caused by: com.adobe.granite.workflow.WorkflowException: Unable to over write file - /content/dam/formsanddocuments/example.pdf. The resource is not a FileWhat does this error mean? I don't imagine the payload literally has to be type 'nt:file'. The wo...

Best practices for user permissions between JEE and OSGi layers? - Adobe Experience Manager 08-02-2019
I am administering a vanilla one-author instance of Forms 6.4 on JEE on Windows Server.I created an enterprise domain, filled it with Active Directory users, and used the built-in JEE security roles to designate forms authors who can access all content in the Forms and Documents CRX node to author forms and create Workbench apps. For our forms consumers we want to restrict access to only certain content nodes. One folder per department, for instance. The permissions matrix at /lc/useradmin offers...

Re: LDAP authentication/DefaultDom on Forms 6.4 JEE - Adobe Experience Manager 05-11-2018
Solution was to not use "Custom" authentication but "LDAP" for the enterprise domain.

LDAP authentication/DefaultDom on Forms 6.4 JEE - Adobe Experience Manager 22-10-2018
I am trying to authenticate Active Directory users on a turnkey install of AEM Forms 6.4 on JEE. Previously, I was able to authenticate successfully on an OSGi-only instance by following these instructions. On JEE, I made a new Enterprise Domain and added a directory and authentication provider using the same (or almost the same) config as I did previously. After syncing users with my new domain in the adminui, I try to log in at both the JEE and OSGi layers and get the error "Username and passw...
