Bruce,I got a bit ahead of myself. I guess the previous developer did use the "Embed XML Schema" option. As you previously stated I found what I was looking for when I opened the XML Source view. If you haven't already replied to my question regarding where to find the "Embed XML Schema" option I still would like to know that.No need to reply if you already answered. Thanks again,Willie

How to find data connection path

I need to modify several xdp files created by a previous developer. When I open them in LC Designer I get the usual "Cannot find xxxx.xsd. Check that the path is correct" message. The path indicated in the connection properties is a relative path like ".\xxxx.xsd". I searched the system drives and found several xsd files so I'm not sure which one the xdp files are using. Is there some other embedded property that will give me the actual path to the xsd file? Thanks,Willie

Hi Everyone,I'm new to the Adobe forums. I had previously posted this message in the AEM forum but was told I needed to post it in the LiveCycle forum. Please redirect me if I'm still not in the correct place. So here's my problem:I'm creating a letter document using AEM Designer. I need to have the data elements for an address formatted as shown:NameAddress 1Address 2City, State ZipAll are data elements mapped into the letter xdp. Hi Everyone, I'm creating a letter document using AEM Designer. I need to have the data elements for an address formatted as shown:NameAddress 1Address 2City, State ZipAll are data elements mapped into the letter xdp. I'm using the following JavaScript to conditionally exclude Address 2 if it contains a null value:if (Address2.rawValue != null) { Address.rawValue = MailTo.rawValue + "\u000a" + Address1.rawValue + "\u000a" + Address2.rawValue + "\u000a" + City.rawValue + ", " + State.rawValue + "...

Hi Everyone,My name is Willie Chapman. I'm relatively new to AEM. I started using LiveCycle a little over a year ago then started using AEM. Almost all of my prior experience has been on the IBMi. About two years ago my employer began replacing our IBM systems with more modern java-based systems. We chose AEM for our document solution. I spent the first year of learning the basics of AEM/LC, HTML, and JavaScript. Naturally there are a lot of "holes" in my knowledge and experience so I hope to us...

AEM Designer - Force Page Break
Avatar

Hello All,I'm new to AEM (LiveCycle) Designer but I thought I had mastered the basic stuff. That was until someone asked me force a page break in a document that currently contains information by state in a table object inside a flowed subform. The request is to have the table data element begin on a new page each time the state changes. I thought such a request would be really simple (and it probably is) but I can't find an explanation of how to do it.Thanks in advance!Willie C.
