I've noticed some websites have implementations that include the same
server call (data, structure, etc) going to two report suites. The AEC
debugger seems to count the duplicate server calls as just one. How is
something like this configured in a best practice? Just comma separated
report suites in Launch? Also, is there a cost to this? As in, does this
count as two billed server calls or one? Thanks!
Hello,I have a success event. I'd like to track any or all of the
following:- Average time (dd:hh:mm?) from start of visit to success
event. I'm aware of hit depth, I'm looking for time, ideally.- Average
time from visitor's first visit start to first success event. This may
span multiple visits- Average total time on site at the visitor level,
before first success event.- Average hit depth at the visitor level
before first success event. Is there any way to track this using a
calculated metric w...
In a workspace project, I have a freeform table with many rows of the
first dimension and one metric. I would like to breakdown all of the
first dimension rows by a second dimension. I would like to then change
the number of second dimension rows that display for each first
dimension. How can I do this? See screenshot - I'd like to change all
the circled row numbers at once, either by changing the default for the
table, or configuring them all at once.
It appears that activity map does not work very well across report suite
- clicking a link on a page in one report suite does not fire that
activity map link data on the next page load, which is in a second
report suite. Is this configurable in any way for tracking across report
suites in the same account?Thank you!
Yes, I know a visit is counted every time the visit page number equals
1. Visit counts are easy to find with the getVisitNum plugin. I'm
looking for access to that visit page number dimension, which I can't
seem to find. Is there a similar plugin for visit page number?
Hello,I'm trying to track the page number of each page in a visit, using
a prop. The entry page would obviously be 1, and each subsequent page
view would count up from there. I am trying to track page views and not
just Hit Depth which counts every server call.I found documentation that
seems to acknowledge this through some "visit page number" - Example
visitIs this visit page number dimension available somewhere? Either by
default in Analytics (workspace ideally) or in a plugin?Thank you!
Hello,I'm trying to send data in on an eVar and struggling with the
architecture of how to do it.Users can select any number of states, and
I would like to know which states they choose. I could just comma
delimit all the states on the evar and only populate each state's "cell"
with the state's value when it's selected? Then break it out with
classifications. That's the best I've got so far, but that would add
each state as a dimension, which I'm not sure is the best approach for
I'm trying to implement s.products in an environment that has never used
it. I heard in an Adobe training a while ago that the category part of
the s.products variable will be deprecated and shouldn't be used long
term. Is this true, or what's the current state of Category? I haven't
found any documentation or announcement acknowledging any current or
future deprecation. Is there a replacement or something that should be
used instead? If it's being deprecated, I guess I'll just leave the
I'd like to schedule a CSV from my workspace project to send over FTP.
Is this possible?I can't seem to find anything that says this is
possible, but I thought I would ask here before I gave up.Thanks!
Workspace is pretty, but it's not the fastest, especially when working
close to the max of 25 months of data. Slow speeds compound in
frustration when Workspace tries to recalculate whole tables and
connected visualizations each time something changes. Modifying a table
is next to impossible when reconfiguring each dimension or metric causes
15+ seconds of recalculation of the table and it's associated
visualizations.Tableau gets around this with a pause button. I would
hugely appreciate this fu...
Huh. If you add a new free form table and add dimension items one at a
time, they seem appear at the bottom of the list each time. Could
obviously use that for manual ordering. However, once you add a metric
other than Occurrences, the manual order gets reordered by the metric.
So close but so far.
Yes, I do! I didn't know that was there, that's helpful for other
analyses, thanks. However, that just sorts alphabetically, which isn't
what I'm after in this example. This example would still require a full
manual sorting option, which could be as simple as the order I drop
dimension items into the table.
That would be useful if I could manually drop them in, but when I try
that, the metric sorting still takes precedence.I tried dropping in
dimension items one at a time; selecting in order, then dropping in all
together; and doing that all with and without metrics present. I can't
get the order to hold any way I do it.Let me know if I'm doing something
wrong, details if you can.Thanks!
Hello,I have 3rd party data coming into Analytics through a connector,
into a dimension. I'm working on visualizing that information in a
Workspace project.I'd like to force an order to the dimension items.
Instead of ordering the dimension items by the metric, I'd like to force
my own order. Is this possible? In the screenshot below, I'd like to
order the revenue range groups by ascending/descending order, which I
can do manually if available.Thanks!
Currently Admin Console gives the perception that granting permissions
by product profile is a scalable way to grant permissions, with AND
logic, and reinforced here: Enterprise Help | Manage product permissions
in the Admin Console. After talking with Adobe client care, this is
false. Not only can product profile permissions conflict with each
other, in an OR logic fashion, but there is no way to know how product
profiles will interact with each other except through trial and error
(per Adobe C...
I'm working on setting up a Data Feed and I don't fully understand what
I'm doing. There's a long list of data columns. Is there any guide to
understanding what the data columns map to in terms of dimensions? Would
that be in my AppMeasurement file somewhere?I'm trying to figure out
which columns I want to send and struggling to understand the
nomenclature of the Data Columns.Thanks!
Hello,There are several non-browsing actions I would like to add as
events, and possibly evars/props. These actions would occur before and
after natural human product usage behavior, but would be automated and
sent to Analytics directly from a server with a timestamp and possibly
other metadata. Any server calls firing prior to product usage would not
have any cookie based information available to them by default - they
would obviously lack a native Experience Cloud ID and other default
Visitors are bound to their server calls by their Visitor ID (at least),
which is a part of each server callHow are server calls parsed into
visits? Is there a marker or a unique ID for the visit on each server
call? Or are server calls aggregated into a visit on Adobe's side? Thanks
In a workspace project, I want to pull historical data for a page that
has not been visited for ~8 months.Usually when I want to look at a
specific page, I hover over the Page dimension, and click the little
carat/arrow that appears, then search for my one page and drag it into a
freeform table. However, when I click the little carat/arrow, I'm taken
to a list of pages that only go back a maximum of 6 months/180 days.
Obviously the page I want was last accessed beyond that time frame. I
can't re ...
I know the tracking server is configured upon implementation. I've got a
3rd party product (Segment) I want to plug information into Analytics
and they're asking for my tracking server URL, where to send the
analytics. I can't find this anywhere, in the Company Settings or the
Report Suite settings. Where else would I find this? Thanks!
Currently, I can schedule a .csv Report to send daily via FTP. Is this
possible to do from a Workspace Project? I can schedule a Project .csv
to send over email, but can't figure out how to send via FTP. Thanks!
I'm trying to identify exact boundaries between Paid and Natural search.
I know that Natural is search traffic not marked as paid.I can find
documentation on how to configure my own paid search preferences, which
is great. I'm looking for what the Adobe defaults are for Paid Search
