Jeff,While there are alternatives to chatting and web cams and all of that, there is one feature I do not see anyone but Adobe being able to implement (as it is done in LCCS) and that is screen sharing. Are there any plans to allow this feature to be opened? I have invested a lot of time in this feature.

I might have found a solution to this!I created 3 event listeners for users entering, leaving, and being kicked out of a room: _userManager.addEventListener(UserEvent.USER_CREATE, onUserCreate);_userManager.addEventListener(UserEvent.USER_REMOVE, onUserRemove);_userManager.addEventListener(UserEvent.USER_BOOTED, onUserBooted);I then added the 3 handlers for the events:privatefunction onUserCreate(p_evt:UserEvent):void{ updateRosterList(); }private function onUserRemove(p_evt:UserEvent):void{upda...

Arun,You're still here! That is great Your help has always been awesome and much appreciated! Please tell Jeff not to end the LCCS service! It is the best there is, and probably will be for some time! The API is already good enough and doesn't need much improvement. Perhaps he can keep you and couple other engineers around to keep the server going and do small updates every now and then. Thanks again,Matt

Thanks for the above update Jeff! It is good to hear that Adobe isn't abandoning Flash completely, however, I must say that I agree with adam+k and BartoszMar. This is not going to sit well with many people, even if we have to move to an FMS solution on our own. Could it not be possible to keep LCCS up for the time being. The API is almost perfect and wouldn't need much support. Perhaps you could keep a couple of engineers around (Arun would be my first choice) to maintain the server and do smal...

No problem Arun! I appreciate you taking the time that you have done already to help! No, I just have to figure out how to remove the staff (i.e. OWNER) from the roster list so that he can't kick himself out I might have to update the list in a function every time someone is accepted or removed from the room rather than binding to the userManager.userCollection. When I get this sorted out I will post the solution here. Thanks,Matt

Arun and RituKnowsFlex,That's what I did for a local volume slider and it works great! If you want to mute all subscribers, AudioSubscriber.setLocalVolume(0); should do the trick!Matt

I've spent some time over past few days going over many of the examples again to see if I could get some insight into the latest problem (above). I'm really starting to get a good grasp of how it all works, especially the flow of events when a user is login into the service! The dificult part is knowing what exactly to do where. It seems that the best way to make sure all the pods and collection nodes sync up to the service without throwing errors is to listen for the "SessionEvent.SYNCHRONIZATIO...

I solved it! I did a bit of searching and found out that the volume range for setLocalVolume() must be between 0 and 1.I divided gainSlider.value)/100 and now it works!

No, it's really that on some system curl works and streams don't and on some curl doesn't work.I picked the "stream way" as default because that's what worked on my machine There is really no difference in the way the two methods work, they both do https requests similarly and curl is one of the best http clients available anyway.-- Raffaele

You don't need LCCS to make use of AEC. It's built into Flash Player 10.3 and you can use the extended microphone options to contol it.

Nigel,Thanks for your reply!I have sliders set up for "quality", "fps", and "resolution factor" and they all appear to be changing the video quality in real time!I will play around with the various settings and if I can`t find an acceptable combination, then I guess I`ll bug Hironmay for some numbers/tips when he gets back ; )Matt

Same answer, you can do both I wouldn't create a room per customer, but you could potentially create one room per agent. You'll need to build your own application that would allow your to select the correct agent given the customer needs, but you need to do that anyway.Once you know the agent, again, having the agent always enter his/her room and wait for customers, or have the agent enter a random room and then pair it with a customer is pretty much the same.Fixed rooms will save you to manage ...

Hi ,It depends on your requirement. If you need to create the webcampublisher only under certain scenario within a component, then you might want to use Actionscript rather than using mxml to create with the component. However, if you don't have the restriction of dynamic creation , you can use mxml. Lastly, putting anything in Actionscript gives you much more power to change, modify and destroy things than in mxml but then creating in mxml is more easier with just a line of code written by you.H...

Thanks again Hironmay!Your answer cleared things up for me!Also, I did finally manage to get the webcam example to compile! I`m not sure what exactly the problem was, but I think it was because the "rtc" namespace was not declared in the header. I also brought everything else up to date (added the namespace declarations for "fx" and Spark in the Application tag, changed the script tags to , etc...). The example code had dashes ("-") between lines of code that were causing errors as well.Matt

We're looking very seriously into it for a future release. Unfortunately, I do not have a time horizon to share with you right now.
