Thanks a lot Arun!I did get the knockingQueue example working a few days ago without a problem. However, once I migrated the code over to my app. I'm getting an error.I first copied my original project so there are now 2 apps.("staff" and "client"). Both compiled/ran fine before trying to implement the knocking queue.I then inserted the relevant parts of the KnockingQueue.mxml file into their respective apps and created the List components in the staff app. The "staff" app. seems to work fine. I...

Apponusa,First off, I wanted to say thanks to the Adobe LCCS team! You guys are always very helpful! Also, I wanted to I apologize for asking what are probably elementary questions. I work for a small company in Japan, and I am the only Flex developer, so I don't have anybody I can bounce ideas off of or go to for help (particularly when it comes to LCCS). I need to make absolutely sure I understand what I am doing, and this forum is the only place I can go to!Ok, great! I understand what you're...

Hello all,I have been working on my app for a while and it's almost finished, however, I need to implement a knocking queue. I just had a couple questions about the KnockingQueue sample app. in the examples.1) The app. seems to be set up for both "owners" and "guests". In the comments it says "For the guests, the app has to run without user credentials and with only room url and username." For testing purposes I just want to keep things simple and don't want to use external authentication. Does ...

Ok, I got it working! It turns out that my image icons for a button were being referenced twice which was causing the error! Apparently the new Flex SDK did something to the way assets are being loaded. I just removed the call to my style sheet and everything works! On another note, the AEC works brilliantly! Thank you so much Hironmay, Nigel, Raff, Arun, Fang, and whoever else was responsible for making this happen!Matt

Barry and Arun,That is exactly what I did, so I guess I did it right! I was just concerned because the last time I did this I used the LCCS navigator and it did everything for me. I was afraid that there might be some other files it was installing that I didn't know about. The compiler errors I'm getting probably have nothing to do with the new LCCS SDK, but more to do with the Flex 4.5.0 SDK. I'm just getting the following 2 errors, which I didn't get before installing the 4.5 SDK:1) Can not res...

Aponnusa,Thank you so much for this!I managed to get it working, but will go over everything again (as per your directions) to make sure I didn't miss anything! One last question - I installed the new LCCS 10.3 SDK by copying and pasting it into the 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4\plugins\com.adobe.lccs\libs\' folder. Is this ok? Is there a better way to "install" it?Thanks again,Matt

Barry,Thank you for your response! I did finally get it working, however, now a few errors have come up (which probably have more to do with compiling under the new SDK rather than an incomplete installation).Yes, this seems that this was the case What I did was physically create a folder called "10.3" and copied/pasted the 10.3 playerglobal.swc inside of it! Is it ok to do this? Did you do the same thing? I just don't know if there is a "proper" way to do this or not.I did the same thing with t...

Hello,Sorry to sound like such a NOOB, but I tried installing the LCCS 10.3 build and I can't even get that far! I did install the Flex 4.5.0 SDK without trouble, however, now I am getting errors and my LCCS app. will no longer compile!Did this, but still errors!I found "playerglobal.swc" in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4\sdks\4.5.0\frameworks\libs\player\10.2\ and replaced the one that was already there with the new one from the current LCCS 10.3 build, but I keep getting the foll...

I have been out of the "LCCS" game for a few months working on php for a project, so I apologize for my ignorance here, but am I correct in thinking the AEC 10.3 swc has not been officially released yet?I just reinstalled the LCCS SDK Navigator, as well as downloading the latest SDK, and the library is still at version 10.1! Am I missing something or is 10.3 still in beta? Thanks,Matt

Hello all,I've created a slider to control the volume of the incoming stream(s) and am having some problems. When I test it it doesn't change the incoming volume at all, and now a new problem has appeared, which may or may not be related to the new code. When the first user opens the application in a browser it starts fine, but when the second user opens the app. in their browser and clicks the "publish" button to start the stream, everything locks up and they can"t click on the "allow"/"deny" b...

Raff,OMG!!! Thank you!Just adding "RTC::$USE_CURL = true;" made it work!I just had one last question. The way you made it sound in your last post was that setting $USE_CURL=true was some sort of secondary option to using streams. I obviously want to use the best, most secure method for external authentication and room management. Is it ok to do it this way, or are streams better? Or, am I totally misunderstanding this altogether ; )Thanks a lot!Matt

Raff,Thanks for your quick reply!I called phpinfo() and it appears that OpenSSL is working:OpenSSL Support - enabledOpenSSL Support - OpenSSL 0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 01 Jul 2008Is SSL needed for encrypted communications between the browser and the LCCS server? Hi Nigel! Thanks for the info.!Yeah, about 5 minutes after posting my original message, I had a nagging feeling I had read about the programmatic provisioning somewhere before. Hello everyone!I have a question about room bandwidth that is crucial to our site design being practical and cost effective. When a user/customer signs up on our web site, a room will be created programmatically for them and they can use it whenever they sign in.Once a room is set up, is there any way to programmatically monitor it so as to watch bandwidth/costs and lock the room when a certain bandwidth limit is exceeded? What we want to do is allow each user to have a cost limit (similar to the...

I apologize regarding my second question! I was going through the "More Like This" sidebar and when I found that code I didn`t realize that it was not from a post in the "LCCS Forum", but the "Actionscript Forum". Sorry for that! I guess LCCS does handle all of the video setup!I`m currently making a settings window where we can test various video settings (quality, fps, resolution, etc...) via slider components and then applied. I just had one more question: Can all these settings be adjusted/ch...

Like matetnic2 in his "WebcamPublisher:resolutionFactor=3?" post, I am also having trouble with quality/lag in my video. My client is starting to show dissatisfaction with regards to the video (and I can`t argue with them). They compare everything with Skype audio/video quality, and if I can`t at least get somewhat on par with it, then we can`t move forward. I have tried a number of settings, but to no avail!I just have a few questions regarding video settings:1) What does setting the video band...

Bernard-qc,I also am getting terrible echo and it`s almost to the point where it renders the app. useless for users! I have tried setting useEchoSuppression="true", but it appears to have only a negligible effect! The LCCS team has done an awesome job, and the service is great, but I`m afraid that there needs to be some improvement in the audio department. With apps. like Skype setting the precedent for p2p video chat, users/customers will simply not tolerate being required to wear a headset any ...

Hironmay,Your help has been great! I implemented your code, and it does work, but something is still wrong.I added this to a creationComplete function: webcamSubMe.publisherIDs=[cSession.userManager.myUserID];When the first person enters, the bottom webcamSubscriber (webcamSubMe) displays the user. However, when the second person enters, it then displays both users. It's as though, when the second person enters, the original code is just ignored and it displays both of them as though it was a st...

Hironmay,I`ve been studying the WebCamera example and a lot of this is making sense. However, I just tested the code suggestions you made to get the bottom camera to only show the publisher (i.e. me) and now the webcameraSubscriber displays nothing after the video stream is published. Here is my code:I didn`t get any errors, but since publisherIDs is expecting an array I imagine I should create one and populate it with myUserID? There must be a more straighforward way to do this that I`m missing...

Raff,This use case is very similar to mine. I also need multiple rooms (perhaps in the hundreds) where the users in each room won`t need to communicate with, or know about, one another. My question is, should all the rooms be permanently created (i.e. a room is created whenever a new user joins my site), or should they be instantiated upon connection to LCCS? I think the auto-generation method seems better, but how is this done? Do I need the host to log in first so that the room is created, or ...

Hello all,I am making a video chat application that is strictly one-to-one and that has 2 separate WebcamSubscriber components, one for the host publisher to view himself and the other to view the person he/she is chatting with (exactly like is done on Skype). However, whenever I test it with 2 people, it adds 2 screens in both WebcamSubscribers. How can I tell the top WebcamSubscriber to ONLY show the other person, and the bottom one to ONLY show me?I have looked over the documentation and it s...
