We do use the crash metric from lifecycle, but I don't see any built-in support for logging stack traces.

Hello everyone. We monitor crashes on a mobile app using Adobe Analytics. The dev team has asked if they can see the stack trace for the crashes, to help them with debugging. As far as I know, Analytics does not automatically collect stack traces on app crash through the lifecycle code. Has anyone solved a similar requirement, and how did you solve it? My only suggestion right now is to somehow insert a trackAction in the app code to trigger when the crash happens, and send the stack trace as a ...

Hi there. We have two report suites, each with the same calculated metric. (Let's use "Avg. Scroll Depth" as an example.)One suite is for web, another is for a mobile app.My colleague just noticed that when she searches for metrics in Workspace, both the calculated metric show up with the same name. No way to tell which belongs to the selected report suite.Has anyone run into this? How can I make a calculated metric show up only for a selected report suite?

Users typically log in half-way through a visit. According to the docs, using visitorID mid-way through a session would start a new session. I'm looking for some way to "override" the ECMID for the session. And yeah unfortunately we don't have Target, Campaign or any other AEP products.

Hi everyone. What's the recommended way to set a custom visitor ID for Analytics on web using:LaunchExperience Cloud ID Service pluginAdobe Analytics pluginWe are currently using the Experience ID plugin to make the user IDs. But we have a logged-in section on our site and would perhaps like to use a hashed version of the logged-in user ID.I've looked at the documentation but am still not sure which method is appropriate. We only have an Analytics Select license, so we only have access to Analytic...

Ok, that starts to clear things up. Another way would be to define a Calculated Metric with a non-default model and set the original event's visibility to "Hidden", I suppose. So since eVars can now have pathing through the Flow visualization and get Participation by default, that's why there may not be a need for accompanying props? (Unless we need real-time or more than 3 list dimensions?)

Hi Arun. In the eVar docs, it says: "After the eVar expires, it no longer receives credit for success events." So I assumed that setting an eVar expiration to "Hit", it could not by default be combined with success events in subsequent service calls. Is that assumption still correct? I had not explored Attribution in Workspace before. Does the "Use non-default attribution model" setting override expiration-based crediting, such that a Hit-expired eVar will be credited with subsequent success eve...

From the props documentation page:Adobe recommends using eVars in most cases. In previous versions of Adobe Analytics, props and eVars had advantages and disadvantages to each other. However, Adobe has improved eVars to where they fulfill almost all use cases for props. This one puzzles me. eVars work with events because eVars persist, while props don't perisst. For instance, when building hit-based segments for traffic reports, I would use props because I know I won't include unwanted hits due t...

Thanks for this great solution and for the notes on low traffic filtering. I think this is going to work for us because we won't have that many unique values to contend with.

Hi. My client's website contains several web apps developed by separate teams. As the apps grow, the teams want to record new data about users, e.g. "unread messages", "new notifications", "qualifies for xyz" and so on. I'd like to avoid adding new eVars/sProps every time a new piece of metadata comes along. Does anyone have a clever way of implementing this? Either by: - a digitalData.user schema that's flexible enough to be reused for most needs- a way in which we can add key-value pairs to a ...
