Comp Time Log balance forward calculation - Adobe LiveCycle 16-04-2012
I have a form that tracks comp time. The form is simple - Name of the person and forwarding balance, then a table of columns for the date, amount earned, amount used, a notes field, balance available, and a line for the manager to check. I want begin with the balance going forward. Once this amount is entered, all that has to be done is enter each line and update the balance. The form is not dynamic. I have sixteen lines on each page. I figure, when the page is filled, they can print it off, put...

Re: Entering multiple lines in a text box & display from upper left corner - Adobe LiveCycle 31-03-2011
Thanks, Paul. This worked perfectly. Why don't they show this more prominently in any documentation? (You don't need to answer that question ;-))

Entering multiple lines in a text box & display from upper left corner - Adobe LiveCycle 31-03-2011
I have forms where a large amount of comment might be entered into the form - maybe a whole page. When I create a large text box and allow multiple lines, the text entered currently displays in the center of the box and expands to fill the box, up or down, from the center. Is there a way to have force the entered text to appear at the upper left corner of the box and flow down. If this was a box that people were writing in, that is the way they would do it.Thank you for the assistance.

Re: Multiple signatures in a PDF - without invalidating the previous ones - Adobe LiveCycle 02-11-2009
I have found something that works for me when delaing with forms with multiple signatures and the first shows up as not valid. Click on the first signature, the click on "Signature Properties", then "Show Certificate". Go to the "Trust" tab and click "Add to Trusted Identities" at the bottom of the box, then "OK". Then when that box diappears, click "Validate Signature" at the bottom of the box. This creates a certificate on your computer that will validate signatures from the sender when they s...

Re: Using Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES and secure parts of form using signatures. - Adobe LiveCycle 15-06-2009
You need to design the form so signature occur as needed, and fields are locked where appropriate. Once you get to the end of the form and the last person signs it, the form shoudl show as being verified with all signatures. When I have a form that requires signatures, I lock all fields that will not need to be changed by the signer. Usually the final signer reviews the form, signs, and it is on its way unchanged. If the form needs to be changed, it should be sent back to the original signer. Th...

Re: Using Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES and secure parts of form using signatures. - Adobe LiveCycle 12-06-2009
We've been trying to get a straight answer out of someone at Adobe for a month. But as soon as you ask a question like this, they pretty much say, "That's beyond my knowledge level" and you are left hanging. It is very frustrating. You are on the right track with your signatures and locking appropriate fields. That's the easy past. The part that is hard and where I can't get a straight answer is "How can I be sure that whoever looks like they signed it actually did sign it?" There's no easy way t...

Re: Date Calculations - Adobe LiveCycle 29-04-2009
Looks like when I enter a two week end date that includes today's date, it doesn't work. If I move it our a week use that as an end date, the dates populate. Try it. Use May 9 as the end date and see what happens. The use May 16. It works. Go figure. Any ideas? Thanks.

Re: Date Calculations - Adobe LiveCycle 28-04-2009
Steve -Not sure what is happening, but sometimes when I test the form, the date gets filled in after entering the first date, and sometimes it doesn't. I can tell you that after entering the two weeks ending date, the date field in the first column gets filled in with that date, but the other dates and the days do not automatically populate. I thought I had a problem, but then it started working. Not it isn;t. I tried it in both Designer, Acrobat Pro and Acrobat. When ti works, it works in all t...
