Hi there, what would be the optimal service to use for form submit from public environment (for example home user sending quality survey feedback back to ISP)with the PDF Form.Let's say that we have a PDF form with simple text input field (but in future the form could contain sensitive private information)If I would like to process the form with LiveCycle, what would be the right end-point to use (method how to invoke the process) and how the submited data should look like (in terms of the possib...

Hi Nith, that is what I did, I also added one more condition before this line to check whether attachment is present or not (based on hidden field).I wanted to avoid user hitting cancel at the attachment dialog box and having the attachment removed. (I don't know how to catch cancel event on the system file dialog box)Thanks a lot,Jan

Hi all,I have a form, that uses a button to add attachment to form with specific index. Now with reader 9 the functionality seems to be awkward.Correct me if I am wrong, but If I use this code:var myDoc = event.target;myDoc.importDataObject("test");a file should be added to the PDF form with index test. Now if I call the code one more time, I would expect the attachment to be replaced (worked with reader 8), however with reader 9, two attachments are present and only one has the "test" index.Any...

Hi Steeve,I would like to do it in a short-lived process (without user interaction), is that possible? I can imagine that I can use the render servise to render PDF form and sign that data that I input there, but it would transform the resulting XML package as It can variate a lot. The shema is pretty big with bunch ov elements. The process works that I get that XML as input to LC and than I need to sign it and send it over WSDL to different process outside of LC.Jan

Hi Nith, the log showed error on the AXIS framework. After some investigation the SOAP request didnt leave LC environment and during creation it simply crashed. This problem was solved by hiring JAVA developer who coded custom component that do call specific WSDL with digest authentication. Thanks for your thoughts and inputs.Best,J.

Hello,I will need to design process that as output will have a XML package with data (some text and also base64 contents) and I need to digitaly sign this XML package. Is that possible with the LiveCycle and if so, what is the procedure?I did some research on the digital signatures components and none of them has this feature. I have learned that Java has some classes that do handle this, however I do not have a clue if this is applicable in LC.Thanks for any thoughts,Jan

I was using the URLRequest to http://" + serverPort + "/remoting/lcfileupload to upload file to the server and transfer it to the process.Since I have upgraded LiveCycle to LiveCycle ES2 and the anonymous Flex remoting upload is not enabled, I would like to do a secured one, however I have no clue how to secure the remoting.I am passing credentials to channelset that invokes the process after initiali...

Hi Nith,I have tried following code in the Execute Script and it just do not want to go through 😞The code is supposed to call test_echo webservice on the livecycle server itself pass it some string variable and get response back, which is basicaly the same value as the input. The method to create the response and do the actual ivokation is the one that is causing error in this script. I am not able with my knowledge to go beyond this 😞 maybe someone here will be wise and help me out.ThanksJ.imp...

Hi Nith,no the WSDL is not available on the internet. I read somewhere that LC can do only basic authentication, but the client is saying that other process on the LC server is using some other WSDL from the vendor company that uses DIGEST auth. and can load properties just fine.I hope that I can make it on monday to stop there and do some investigation.I did capture via wireshark the network communication and the WSDL is epecting DIGEST however LC was sending BASIC... dont know how to tell LC t...

Hi,is there a way how to get PKCS7 data as the input and than decode internaly in the workbench? Let's say I have a envelope (address to whom the letter blongs, address of the sender and base64 content e. g. PDF file) and I want to process in the livecycle, meaning getting the recipient address (name) and assign the task to that specific user.If this is possible, that variable should the PKC7 be as the input and what do I need to decode the XML content along with the base64 attachment. Thanks for...

Hi,I was playing around a little bit. I can check from the workspace wether the file is locked or not via attributes. However when I tried to change them, I got into issues running that process again. Seems that it will be more complicated than just changing the map value...I'll keep playing around..J

Hi,I am strugling with simple scenario. I have two short-lived processes. One for document transformation, in this case, it will simply take document as input and as output string with basename of the input variable. One setValue step can handle this.Than I have another process, that has document as input parameter and as the wsdl notes, it consists of base64 data and content type (this is what I get from outside livecycle app that will call this second process). I tried to construct the SOAP en...

Hello, did someone figure out how to use importDataObject function in Acrobat/Reader 9 to correctly import (and delete) attachments in the PDF form created in Designer 8.2?I tried the "show-case" file from Adobe that does show how file can be added and removed, however in version 9 the description column is left blank (that is the path atribute) and therefore you can not address particular attachment.Any advices are highly welcomed.ThanksJan

Hi Jasmin, one more thing. If you initiate a task by webservice and it gets to users queue, he clicks on that item and the form comes up with buttons as route names. Is it possible for the user to click on one of those buttons and display new form with different data?Simple example can be email like communication. User receives something what is displayed to him in the workspace and he clicks the button reply and another form should come up.ThanksJ.
