Hello,I am creating a new form and what I am trying to do it when the user presses a print button, I would like the form to center the text in a specific text field. I have tried a few different things, but nothing I have been doing has been working and my JavaScript knowledge is not very high. Does anyone have any suggestions on if this can even be done? Thanks in advance.Justin

What you will need to do is add code to the form's PreSave and PrePrint events. If you add this, it will lock the field:this.resolveNode("textFieldName").access = "readOnly";Change 'readOnly' for 'open' to unlock the fields (you could add that to a button to unlock the fields if required). You could even add a password to it.Tip: if you use 'readOnly', the tabs for the fields will still be active. Using 'protected' will skip the fields if tab is pressed when using the form.

If you like, I can email my form to you, as I do not know how to put a link from Adobe in here, and you can see what I am trying to do. Right now I like the idea of the instance manager and check box, but a button could work in the same setup...Justin

Hello,I am wondering if there is any way for me to automatically increase a number, starting with the number 1. I would like this number to start at number 1 and automatially increase by "1" each time the form is opened. The thing is, I have NO IDEA, how to do this or even if this is possible. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks,Justin

Hello,I think this is an if then statement I need, if not, please let me know as I have no idea where to start with this. What I am trying to do is show how many SMS messages are going to be sent based on a numeric number of text. For example, if the user inputs less than 120 characters, only one SMS message will be sent. If 120 to 240 are written, two messages are going to be sent. If 240-360 are written, three messages are going to be sent, etc. I am wondering if Livecycle can do this and what...

There seems to be two separate issues here. The first is making a blank row above rather than below. Do you mean that the blank row should be the first row always when you add a new row or appear just above the existing bottom row? Anyhow, my thoughts on this are that the new row would always come last so you would then copy the contents of the previous row down 1 for each. Some sort of reiteration that will leave the first row blank thus giving the impression of a blank row being added at the t...

You need to use flowed subforms. I wrapped each individual question in positioned subforms then wrapped all of those in a flowed subform so that they are all stacked one on top of the other. That way they can paginate and move when content is added or taken away. That is the true nature of a dynamic form.Of course I didn't do your whole form just the first few questions to give you an idea of what I'm talking about and so you can see how it works.I posted it here:http://www.fieldeffecttechnologi...

That code you found earlier is for a form created in Acrobat, not an XFA form created in LiveCycle Designer, and VJ is right about the correction.

Hi Justin,There are several ways of making a page hidden/visible.1. Select the page in the hierarchy palette. Then In the object palette in the Presence DropDown you can select "invisible".2. You can also set the forms' presence in the initialize event of the page by writing this.presence = "invisible".3. If you want the button to do the trick you can place the JavaScript in the click event of the button. Page.presence = "hidden" or Page1.presence = "visible" depending upon the choice.Thanks,Bib...

Now that the hectic Christmas season is over, I had some additional time to look this over. I changed the check marks to radio buttons, but I am confused as to how to associate the radio buttons to each other so they are not able to all be "on" at the same time. I am looking forward to further understand how to perform the math so I can get this to work.. Thanks again!Justin
