Re: Why certain functionality works in Adobe Acrobat, but not in LiveCycle Preview PDF? - Adobe LiveCycle 28-04-2010
I figured out the problem. I was using the .xdp file. If I use the .pdf version of the form, the presence="hidden" functionality works in the Preview PDF.

Why certain functionality works in Adobe Acrobat, but not in LiveCycle Preview PDF? - Adobe LiveCycle 28-04-2010
I have some simple logic in a LiveCycle form that will hide a subform when I click a checkbox. When I save as dynamic PDF and open in Adobe Acrobat 9, it works fine, but when I test the .xdp in LiveCycle Preview PDF it does not. I'm new to JavaScript and have wasted some time troubleshooting what I thought was a problem, only to find out it was working. Am I doing something that is not capatible with Preview PDF? Attached below are images of hierarchy, design, and code. I realize the hierarchy i...

Javascript array help needed to generate narrative from checkboxes - Adobe LiveCycle 14-12-2009
For context... the user will indicate symptoms in cardiovascular section, selecting "deny all", if none of the symptoms apply. The narrative sub-form needs to processes diagnosis sub-form and generate text that explains the symptoms in a narrative form. For example, if the user selects "deny all" in the cardiovascular section, the Cardiovascular System Review field would have: "The patient denies: High Blood Pressure, Low Blood Pressure. The logic associated with the narrative needs to account f...

How to generate descriptive narrative from checkboxes to new PDF document - Adobe LiveCycle 05-12-2009
The attached PDF form collects name and details on medical history. In the Cardiovascular section, patient indicates none of the symptoms are applicable. In the Nervous Systems section, patient indicates dizziness is a symptom, but no other symptoms. I need to generate a new document that takes this information and creates a descriptive narrative like this: Patient Name: John SmithCardiovascular System ReviewThe patient denies: high blood pressure, low blood pressureNervouse System ReviewThe pat...

Re: Hidden subform issue - Adobe LiveCycle 12-11-2009
Jenny, I hope you don't mind, but I found this topic and used your form to explain something I wanted to do in another forum topic. The person who helped me updated your document with new functionality. The new enhancement eliminates the whitespace between the TAKS sections, if you happen to skip selections. I have attached the revised form. If you'd like to see the full text of the post, here's the link: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2387496#2387496. Thanks Rob

Re: Need help with a dynamic information gathering form - Adobe LiveCycle 11-11-2009
StateAssessmentDecisionRecord.pdf is an example that shows how clicking fields in the TAKS section hides/shows a sub-pages. If you click TAKS and TAKS (Accommodated), but not Spanish TAKS, there is whitespace where Spanish TAKS is in the form, but not shown.dynamic_form_example.xdp is a mockup of what I need. I haven't received the real content yet, but it should illustrate the concept. On the first page, the Dr. would click the box next to each area needed in the form. Clicking the Generate For...

Need help with a dynamic information gathering form - Adobe LiveCycle 10-11-2009
I found topics that explain how to display/hide sub-pages using a trigger field and a script, but these techniques create whitespace where there are hidden sub-pages in the form. Is it possible to have the selected sub-pages flow together across multiple pages, without the whitespace? I was thinking the first page would have a set of check-boxes that identify what information is needed in the form. After clicking the appropriate check-boxes on the first page, a custom version of the form would b...
