Currently, if you are browsing a dashboard with a segment applied and click through to a report from that dashboard, the segment no longer applies to that report. This is not very helpful for occassions where a master dashboard has been set up, and many different segments are applied to that dashboard by many different people throughout the organisation. It would be great if segments applied in dashboards carried over into reports, or we at least had the option to do so.

If you create a trended report with no segment (eg showing top 5 items) and add it to a dashboard, it shows fine when there is no segment applied to the dashboard. However, if you apply a segment to the dashboard, the reportlet will only show the top 5 items in the original reportlet with no segment applied. If none of the top 5 items within the applied segment are in the original reportlet (with no segment)... the reportlet shows nothing, as it does not automatically select 'top items' in that ...
