Yes, please! I have solved this by adding a suffix to variable names. But that's making my life easier by adding a source of confusion for part-time users. And it looks ugly in dashboards.

I do like it the way it is, although I see benefits in the motion. This should definitely be an option instead of a default setting. I see all sort of legacy processes tied to the current behaviour with lots of SC clients.
