One feature that I like a lot in Analysis Workspace is that I can
duplicate a panel or table in my project. One thing I do not like is
that I cannot make a copy and put it in a different project.Use case- I
create a dashboard for 5 stakeholders under 1 manager. The manager does
not want need to monitor all of the data that is in all of the other
dashboards but each dashboard has a high level summary at the top.

@gaurav2 I came back across this post and have since figured out a work
around that has worked for me. In this instance, I just selected day as
my dimension and made a metric called "Visit count". It says the number
is 23 for each row in the dimension. What it is doing is returning the
count where the value of visit eqists. In essence, I have 23 row items
in my dimension so it counts in the same manner that you were talking

Looking at Activity Map, it would be really awesome if there was a way
to vizualize path analysis. Say, I have an odd path that I see has an
increasing trend and I see the path that they are taking but perhaps it
covers some pages I am less familiar with (the website I do analytics
for has thousands of pages, Kind of hard to visualize each one). If I
could select a path and then it take me to a view that I could follow

Agreed that in general yes I would prefer filters even if hypothetically
the min/max/mean were not updated. In a perfect world, it would be great
if the UI looked at the filtered data as if it were the new "whole set"

The filter in Reports and Analysis updates the totals once you type in
something on the filter and hit enter. However, in Analysis Workspace
this does not get updated. Let's say I have a list of sections on my
sight and one of them is called "Training". let's say I have 1,000,000
page views for my whole site and 250,000 for Training. Training would
then consist of 25% of the totals overall. If I filtered for Training in
Reports and analysis then it will update and say the total is 250,000
@benjamingaines : I think I just found something that might be a work
around for this. My company just moved me over to Gmail for our mail
server so I am now getting all my e-mails through them. In Site
Catalyst, I am able to e-mail myself the report. I did this and it sent
me the file to my Gmail account and Gmail automatically had an option to
download to my Gdrive. Is it possible to just make a "send e-mail
report" based upon the selection I have in Analysis Workspace? If I
could just select ...
One thing I think that Analysis Workspace does better than Site Catalyst
is they have easy reference for the total count of rows a dimension has.
For instance, if I want to see the total count of customers I have
within Analysis Workspace, all I have to do is look at the dimension and
it tells me the total right there. In Site Catalyst, I have to type in
an absurdly large number to make sure I get to the last entry and then
note that. Thank you!
@James_wawne I agree that buble charts, unless animated, are much less
dynamic with the data when looking at relationships between multiple
entities over time. I have been having to try to do some in Google but
that is a pain unless you are a developer. So, I have been having to do
more of the Excel/LibreCalc backend manipulation of the vizualization.
@benjamingaines I don't know if this is possible or not but a lot of the
work I do ends up in Google Sheets. Everything I do has to go through my
standard spreadsheet program (Excel or LibreCalc) then I have to copy
and paste into a Google Sheet. It would be very helpful if we could
export straight to Google Sheets because that can be shared out faster
with those in my company that need to see the data.
